my parents wouldn't disown me if I joined the army. my dad was in the army. but I'm not the army type.

not sure how they'd react to me watching ponies though.

(probably just some harmless jest and ridicule. my parents are cool. ^_^)

Because I use MLP images in official e-mails at work, my coworkers pull my leg a little about liking a girl's show; they understand I don't watch it, but insist I'm obsessed. x3

On the completely off-topic topic, I basically made a perfect score on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery and could have gotten any job I wanted but elected not to enlist in the Army after all.

I've just made up an entire demon based headcanon for the show.
Here we go
Be prepared for a long post.

Mrs. Twilight "Star" Sparkle
The mother of our Twilight Sparkle. She and her husband have been fighting demons for years since before they had their daughter. Twilight was trained in fighting as a whitch. She has pacts with numerous demons that she calls when she needs them to attack. Fighting with her hooves and magic Twilight fights a very fast speeds. She contemplated teaching young Twilight her bloody ways, but her husband convinced her it was better that it was better their daughter never know.

Crescent Sparkle
Husband of Mrs. Twilight and father of Twilight JR. Unlike his wife Crescent denied the help of any demons in his work. He believed that the demons would be both corrupt and a crutch. Instead he used a sword he made himself from enchanted alchemical metals. Preferring to use his glistening Blade over magic Crescent was a heavy hitter against any demon. The little magic he did use in battle was purely healing.

Pinkie Pie and Otisis
When young Pinkie Pie left the rock farm to do something more uplifting her aunt Surprise gave her the aligator gummy. Gummy is actually a Demon that feeds on sanity. Surprise gave him to her niece fully aware of his true nature. Gummy's true name is Otisis. He ceased feeding on Pinkie's mind years ago after he grown to like her. Instead gummy pecks of the sanity of other ponies when Pinkie holds parties. Pinkie and Gummy now have a full pact. She can use his powers as she pleases.

Surprise
Surprise came upon Otisis years ago. He sucked on her sanity as he does any other pony, but after much time spent together he stopped when he learned to actually enjoy her company. Instead Otisis became her pact demon until she gave him to Pinkie Pie. Surpise now fights demons with a darkness otisis left inside her brain where most of her sanity use to be.

Trixie and Guilt
After fleeing Ponyville Trixie fell unconscious in the woods. She awoke to find that her hooves had black rings around them. After getting checked on by an expert she learned she had a parasitic demon in her named Guilt. Guilt very rarely speaks to Trixie. Guilt slowly sucks on Trixie's life force giving her about five years to live approximately. Trixie slows down this process by taking a special medicine every day even though it causes a painful addiction. As long as Trixie has Guilt in her body she can use his demonic magic freely. Trixie seaks not for a cure, but for something to stop the eating process while allowing her to maintain this power.

Fire Fly and Tempestist
Fire Fly mother of Rainbow Dash. Fire Fly obtained her demon in her first encounter with Mrs. Twilight. Tempestist was a wind demon that threatened to destroy all Cloud cities, but it was cockey and challenged Fire Fly to a race. Upon Fire Fly's victory tempestist fused herself with Fire Fly's blood. This gave her both wind powers and the ability to turn her wings into demon wings. With little other options Fire Fly joined Twilight's demon hunting team.

Rainbow Dash the Demon Breed
Rainbow Dash obtained demon blood from her mother. Dash being comepletly unaware figured her speed and ability to manipulate the wind with her flying were both just her pure skill. Rainbow Dash remains unaware of her demon blood.

FlutterShy and the stare
Fluttershy was not born with the stare. It was an ability she acquired on her way to finding Ponyville as a filly. To reach Ponyville the young Filly had to cross everfree forest. During that trek she encountered a trapped monster. Due to her kind nature she couldn't help but to save it. The monster turned out to be a demon that deemed her worthy of reward. Her kindness was rewarded by the demon forcing itself into Fluttershy's eyeballs. That is how she acquired the stare. Fluttershy has this memory completely repressed. It floats in her subconscious.

Rarity Belle the vampire
Rarity's family lineage consist purely of unicorn vampires. A pony vampire has a white coat and red eyes. Rarity and her sister both use contacts to disguise their crimson read eyes. They can openly go out in the sun as long as they feed. Both of them secretly feed blood off of their friends. Rarity avoids Rainbow's blood because she can sense the demonic presence in it. The Belle clan has no need for demon pacts because Vampires are incredibly powerful. Rarity chose a more sophisticated life where this power is rarely needed.

Twilight Sparkle and Spike
Twilight sparkle the element of magic was always under Celstia's eye. Celestia was always fully aware of Twilight's potential. She purposely gave Twilight a the egg of a Dragon demon instead of an actual dragon. Spike is not aware that he is actually a Demon. Twilight also has no idea about the truth. Both have been in pact ever since he was hatched by Twilight's magic. When the time is right Twilight's magic is supposed to activate Spike's abilites so they can fulfill whatever destiny Celestia expects of them.

Scootaloo and Ikaruga
Scootaloo's scooter is actually a demon named Ikaruga. Ikaruga has absolutely no malicious desires and only wants fun. As such it searched for a pact with a small filly. Scootaloo thinking it was "cool" agreed to ikaruga's plea. Ikaruga took the form of a scooter so they can play together. Eventually their powers will be needed.

Apple Bloom and Bowly
Apple Bloom's ever present bow is will demon named Bowly. It drives her in her destructive endevours to get her cutie mark withought her knowing. Bowly enjoys the chaos that insues whenever Applebloom and her friends try to get their cutie marks. Bowly has little power outside of manipulating Applebloom.

It's very...detailed! Yes, detailed. And long, like you said. Eyup, that right there is a looooong post. No doubt about it. It's also got a bunch of words, yesiree, a bunch of words. Some of the words are in bold too, I noticed. That's a nice touch there. Yep, this is a pretty good post, if I do say so myself.

Just keep the door locked, or have something else to quickly switch to if you hear them.
