Valiant took a single hamburger and dressed it with a creamy white sauce with herbs minced in it. "You just eat as much as you want. I must keep myself in shape for the dancing, then I'll get some calories back."
"Count me out too," said rikki, nibbling at a meatball covered in cheese sauce. "I must be clean and perfect for that hunky mink."

He went to the electronics deskt and took a kind of motherboard.

-Motherboard-NVIDIA GeForce 8200 supports DirectX 10, has expansion slots 5, 6 drives Serial ATA 3.0 Gb / s, Gigabit Ethernet connection con12 native USB 2.0 ports, not bad, "she said watching her carefully.

Then she looked at Archy and hugged him tightly.

"Thanks for doing this, " she said smiling.

"Hold on there is a sleep-over?" Ying asked his ears peaked in interest "When you all decided on that?" Ying then stuck his tongue out and asked as well "I hope I'm invited. Well I'll be at the food, if you need me I'll be there." Ying then walked to the table of food and said "Heya Shamrock, Anything I can help with? If not it's fine I'll find myself something to do." Ying then laughed and pulled up a chair and sat resting his arms on the back of the chair.

Mitch sighed heavily. He got up and was ready to get in. Then all of a sudden, he panicked again and survival took over. He quickly looked left and right. Jenny had his door blocked, but the other door was open. He looked up at her and looked her dead in the eye.

"You thought, that I'd come that easy?" Mitch said almost snarling. Then he bolted for the drivers side, opened the door, and ran out into the parking lot!

They're not gonna take me back! Not today! Not ever! Not as long as I can still fight 'em!

He climbed up the fence leading out to the street. On the sidewalk, he ran as fast as he could looking at the nearest patch of woods, when his luck caught up to him.

"OW! OW!! OW!!! SLIPPITY, DANGITY, OW!!! NO!," Mitch yelled angrily. His foot had got caught in a side drain and had neatly slipped into a hole in the side.

"NO!!!, NO NO NO NO NO!!! NO!" Mitch hollered between sobs, "NO NO NO NO!" He struggled and faught and tugged, but to no avail.

*GURGLE*

"SHUT UP YOU! I AM NOT STARVING! YOU WANT THEM TO TEASE US WITH FOOD!?" Mitch yelled at his stomach, and then his energy left him, and he could fight no more.

"No, no, no, no," Mitch sobbed, "Don't let it hurt so much, don't, please don't." He pleaded to no one in particular waiting for Jenny to pick him back up and take him away. Exhausted, he lay with his head in his paws, crying himself into a puddle.

"It seemed, logical" Archimedes said, hugging back and wagging a little. Then he remembered the big party going on. He looked back to his dad, "hey Dad, there's a new years party going on down the street, can we go?"

"Who's throwing this party?" Andrew asked, he certainly wasn't going to send these too off into any more trouble than they'd gotten into all day.

"Umm Valiant? I think he was a police dog at one point." Archy said, "he was with us today at the club house."

So many questions, but they'd be for later interogations. "Alright, but be back by 12:45" Andrew said, "we've got an early start tomorrow to get this place organized."

Saphia had let herself get lost in her own thoughts, but the blue cat eventually found her way back to reality. She turned to see if Grey was done with his call. It looked like he had finished without her noticing for a while. Instead of saying anything, she just stood there, as if waiting to be told something.

Jenny knelled down next to Mitch and picked him up gently "Don't worry sweety we'll get you some food inside." She said as she put him in the carrier and locked the door. She went in to building and nodded as she passed the receptionist near the front. She took Mitch to the back room and placed the cage on a metal table and walked over to the cabinets getting out some canned food for Mitch and setting down in front of the cage opening them both so he could eat.

"Oh yeah the Sleepover! I had almost forgotten." Lance said as he sniffed the food and smiled he was getting a bit hungry.

"Boss, are you..?" Okay? No, Valiant was obviously NOT okay. He had tried calling for Darien several times, only getting the voice mail. He had stopped leaving messages, no sense to at this point. A quick search with the smartphone on the net had proven of no use.
Valiant sighed. "I think I'll go upstairs to get some sleep, in my room, Rikki. You have fun on my account, this has been a tiresome day..." He gave the ferret a weak smile and left. He looked like a beaten puppy.
Rikki hoped that newsmutt had had some trouble for real, because she was going to be quite mad at him if he hadn't a *valid* reason to disappear like this...

Mitch watch her wearily as she opened the cans. Anything funny, and he wasn't about to eat a thing. Even though it didn't smell too bad and he was really hungry. He was shaking too. Heavily.

Okay, calm down, she's been nothing but nice so maybe she isn't one of those monsters. What to talk about? Oh yeah!

"That, d-doesn't s-smell t-too b-bad," Mitch said, "At l-least, b-better then the c-cibble we always g-got. Sigh. I w-wonder what m-my c-cousins are f-feeling right n-now." Mitch put his head in his paws at that part.

"Wait!" Andrew said, quickly bolting in he grabbed something off a shelf and then ran out. It was box, a very nice one at that. Outside in the hall he handed it to the white dog. "That was packed in with everything else. It will be very useful."

"Ooh" Archy said, taking the box and opening it. Inside was a new phone.

"Its tied in with my plan, unlimited everything" Andrew said, "I imagine it should be pretty useful. Now while she's doing whatever grooming she wants, lets go figure out where this party is."

"Girls" Archy said, following Mr. Dresner down the stairs.

10 minutes later...

Eve opened the door and went with Archy and Andrew. With her hair pretty, all her head clean and her clothes ready, she was beautiful. Maybe there were not many things in the room of a boy so she could use, but she managed then to finish pretty.

"Well I'm glad you like it we don't many exotic foods lying around so I just picked the best stuff I could find." Jenny said as she headed towards the door of the room. "Now you have to stay here ok? Don't do anything stupid I'm going to talk to my superiors and see what I can do about you. Running away will just make things worse plus I doubt you can even escape from here." She said sternly as she finally closed the door.

"Yea, I'm ready" Archimedes said, slipping his phone into a holster on his collar. "And we think we know where this is going down at." Then he turned to see Eve and his jaw just about fell off. "wow."

After a few minutes the White dog snapped out of it. He really hadn't been around a good looking girl much less one groomed for a party. "Ah yea, lets go" he said at last.

"If you want, yes" Andrew said, "though we're definitely walking. I don't think all of us will fit on the motorcycle."

He grabbed his coat, went to the door and held it open for the two dogs while he pulled it on. Looking around, he confirmed the rest of the house was secure.

Archimedes hugged Eve in one last bit of illogical excitement and then lead the way to the door. Thoughts of the old fashioned types of parties danced in his mind. He hoped there'd be some classical music or maybe swing. The good stuff.

"I don't think anyone shy of a very old DJ is gonna have that buddy" Andrew said, not that it would have stopped him from asking either.

"It is the good stuff" Archy replied, "even if no one will play it."

It wasn't quite in tune but it followed the forties beat.

Mitch looked around the room real good.

Maybe, maybe not.

Then the food overwhelmed him. At first he tried to be careful, taking in small bites, but he couldn't help it. It took him a bit, but he snarfed the food down as fast as he could.

Wow.

He went back to his cage and stretched out inside. Feeling really full for the first time in a long while.

Wonder what she's up to? He thought about Jenny.

Eve, Archy and Andrew continued walking in the direction that Archy told them to them until they reached the place of the party. Since Eve did not know many people, yet, she let Archy will come on and with the other pets before her.

Andrew went as far as the sidewalk in front of the house and watched the two dogs walk in before turning back. He had enough trust in the white dog that he'd come back on time and be truthful about this place.

If Archy knew anyone it was barely, but he did take the lead. As soon as the door opened he smelled all the good food. To any pet that was good, but to a shelter dog, raised on kibble day in and day out, he was drooling up a storm. "Ooh, ich glaube es gute essen gibt." (I think there is some GOOD food!) he said, walking in and looking around for Valiant, the guy with the metal arm. "Wir in heaven!"

Lance took a bite out of the little sandwich he had and was looking around the room when he noticed Archy and Eve walk in the door. He swolled the rest of the bite he had as he waved at them. "Hey you two! Glad to see you here." He said walking over to the two dogs.

(OOC: Ugh writers block has hit full force now. Don't worry Hunter I'll try to get something up soon, like by this weekend at the latest. Just think of it as she took a long time to convince the higher ups. Which it would anyway.)

"Ok!" Archimedes said and then left Eve to seek out the DJ, he probably would too at some point. Maybe if he was really lucky that song would be at hand or something like it. For now though, he was going to go and eat better than he ever had.

At the table, he took the first open seat he saw and started to get various bits of food from what was on the table. Turkey, a burger, some sort of pasta and really everything. It didn't matter to him. Human food always beats kibble. He took a bite of the chicken and it had to be about the best thing he ever had.

Mitch tapped his paws on the room table. Tapping them to an familiar tribal tune. Looking around the room at everything. He had already climbed up the cieling lamp. He had climbed under the table moved it around the upper cabinets on the left hand corner of the room. Although, he hadn't yet examined the cabinets under the sink. His paws had already been washed though, but he still had to know what was under there.

Probably just a regular pipe system like every other sink. Still worth a look to see if anything's old or falling apart, or a hole in the wall?

Mitch wandered over and opened the cabinet doors.

Yup, just like every other pipe system.

Dissapointed, then he turned to the cabinet on the left.

Now, here's something interesting.

There was a small piece, just a small piece but still, mind you a piece. Of insulation that was exposed. The board covering the other part seemed loose too.

If I can get my hands on that...

Then, keeping it in mind, he closed the cabinet door.

Then he immediately got to work.

Grey was lost in a daze for a while, looking around the attic, Grey looked back at Saphia and saw that she had left her own daze of thoughts "Well, Saphia, it seems that the time's just flying by us" Grey said, looking at his watch "maybe we should get the 'Gift-Zooka and head a bit closer to the party,eh?" he asked, otioning toward the door "maybe we should use the door this time?". Shamrock felt his phone buzz in his collar and looked at his caller ID "Oh, goody, Destiny." He flipped the phone open "Hey D! Sorry I didn't call you earlier. I'm over at Valiant's house, we're having that party finally. Yeah... uh huh, of course you can come! I'll see you in a few minutes... Okay, love you." He slowly hung up the phone and tapped Rikki on the shoulder "Alright, rack one more onto the guest list, my girlfriend's coming."
