Well I think it makes sence for it to be a kingdom. If celestia and Luna rais the sun and moon there must be other alicorns doing important things.

On a rather unrelated topic, he might not be as famous as the Nostalgia Critic or Linkara, but I think the Hardcore Kid might be an FiM fan. He used a clip from the show in his latest review.

I was thinking of a storyline involving the shards of those broken friendship crystals. Though of course I'd have to double-check in case they were vaporized or something, it's been a while since I watched the first couple episodes.
I'm also trying hard not to turn certain original characters into Mary Sues. It's harder than you'd think sometimes. @_@

You mean elements of harmony? I think they turned into their accessory form (element of magic became a crown, while the others became necklaces), probably still held by the respective ponies who represent the said elements/virtues? Though they never showed up again since the pilot episodes, so who knows.

I never seem to have a problem with Mary Sues. I guess making characters with defects just comes naturally to me.

Is it possible to write MLP fanfiction without any OC's in some form?

Well...actually it was a two-chapter story. The first chapter was the other five at Fluttershy's funeral, but then in the second chapter it was revealed to be a vision of the future Twilight had, and the group went off to save Fluttershy from a couple of giant scorpion monsters in an epic battle.

So happy ending.

Sense when was fitting the mood of the show the point of a fan fiction. In my eyes its the exact opposite point.

My idea was using my characters (available in a comment made a while back). A good 2000 so years in the future. Meaning all the old characters excluding the princesses and spike are long gone. The leader was a knight to king Chrono who has him assemble a team and form a guild. the reason is because they are supposed to be the elements of chaos (hehe sonic) and he plans to use them like Clestia used the elements of harmony (twight and co.)

Theres more than that but that's the gist of it.

I think outside of novelty stories, it's pretty important for fan fiction to "feel" like the work it's based on. If not, that's about as jarring as when you make characters act out of character!

Well from my perspective fanfiction is written because it gives you something you can't get from the original content. Something you desire that you know you'll never get other wise. Like me wanting fanfics of House pets involving fighting and swords and that stuff. Manipulate the universe into a new situation. Other wise there's no point because you might as well watch the source material.

To me, it seems most important not for the feel of the show to be present, but the feel of the characters. Unless something traumatic or dramatic happens to alter a character, they really should act as they would if the fic were a part of the show.

I don't read the action-y fan fiction. I just read the normal or comedy ones. Except for this one FMA/MLP crossover, but otherwise it's all light hearted stuff.

And is Trixie generally considered to still be evil-ish? Since I don't think we've seen her outside that one episode.

Well, they might have left it back at the old castle, or with Princess Celestia. Frankly, we don't really know where they are now. But any of them would probably work for you anyway.

Edit: Unless it vanished because it wasn't needed anymore, then it wouldn't work for you!

I agree with Ex, she is probably just mean or a big attention/fame seeker.
