The most obscure I could do is probably Pure Reason Revolution.

But there's a reason they're obscure.

Folk Rock vs. Punk, for example, is an unwinnable battle, when neither band is bad.
British vs. British is the same way.

As for Australian awesomeness, I could mention AC/DC, but you want less obvious examples.

One song that's truly addicting to me... "115" By treyarch.
Whenever I listen to it I feel evil with a hidden power to
destroy anything I touch...

NO
More forgivness
NO
I'll bring you death and pestilence
I'll bring you down on my own!
I'm a fairly interesting person once you get to know me, but seeing as nobody can successfully navigate my minefield I guess they'll never truly know.

Every Tear is a Waterfall - Coldplay
That is a quote from How to Train Your Dragon, where the boy, Hiccup, and the blonde haired girl are riding on Toothless (AKA the dragons) back, and Toothless starts spinning/flying downwards and is scaring the girl and Hiccup says something along the lines of, "And now hes spinning downwards. Thanks for nothing, you useless reptile."

I will have to look that song up later once I get the chance.

Yeah, it's the only Coldplay CD I have right now. Aside from "Viva la Vida" I mainly listen to "Lost" lately.
I actually like their lyrics a lot and they are one of the few "newer" bands I will listen to!

Also, the melody in the beginning of "42" always reminds me of aura's theme from the anime .hack//sign.
Just throwing it out there! :D

Coldplay is amazing! I have almost all of their songs!
~Viva La Vida
~Yellow
~Fix You
~Life In Technicolor
~Strawberry Swing
~Death and All His Friends

And I'm spending the night listening to country, pop, and hip-hop. Because we all know that the cool kids spend their Saturday nights alone and listening to music on Youtube! ;D
Let me tell you about Homestuck.

Anyone?

Im a real man, and i know what i can
And then I watch a charger grab me and im like GOD muffins and cookies!
Then I get back up , and deny all zombie's wishes
I follow my own rules
Kill all suns a perfectly wonderful person!

^_^

You know one time my buddy Kieth was campin out on top of the roofs shootin' crows but the police were too busy tear gasin' him to ask him what he was doing. He screamed for an entire year! Every single time he opened his eyes, at first it was funny, then it just got sad, but then it got funny again, hehe aw man...

That is pretty tight...You can say what you want to, but electronica is really cool. 8-) There's a guy named Rom De Prisco who does some awesome music like this. If you've ever played an old Need for Speed game, that's his music playing. And that is the BEST music ever to go into a car racing game.
