Joy: Anime Convention this weekend, leaving tomorrow for Toronto, Ontario for the Con.

Supreme Sorrow: My friend Benjamin has passed away last night in a car accident... his funeral is Monday.

This also means the forums has lost a member... it's hard to find how to say this, because I feel like everything I want to type is so impersonal.

I can't tell you how sorry I am through text, but you have my condolences.

I lost a good friend a couple years ago, and it hurts, man. Just know you have everyones support in the forums as well as mine.

Me too.

Since I've been a member of these forums I've never heard of any member DYING. I didn't even KNOW him.

It'll be painful for a long time, but you'll get through this, eventually. Just hang in there in the meantime.

RIP, Zalgo. You were a good friend to Mareks and a good forumite. You'll be missed.

Major Sorrow: Zaglo is the second person I've heard that has passed on. A kid in my class lost his father to a heart attack as well.

I didn't quite get the whole stink bug thing. They showed up here a few months ago, and at first I was a bit scared of them, assuming from their moniker that they would smell terrible when they died. I've seen several of them around, I've killed a couple, but I never noticed any sort of trademark odor that they're apparently known for. Maybe my nostrils and/or our stinkbugs were defective?

"Sorrow"- Time to draft an essay based on one of a series of terrible prompts from my English teacher. The only reason I chose the one I did was because it was the only one that actually seemed to be an essay, and even so it's not really a literary analysis essay.

Most of them were actually creative writing to an extent- ie., write a letter to this person in the book, write this essay as Harry Truman, etc. This was the only one that didn't involve adopting a persona, even so it is mostly based on personal statements of opinion- written in first person. I don't care if CollegeBoard says it's okay, essays written in first person are hard to write and look weird.

Oh, and also the essay structure is much too specific. I don't want to include a paragraph on the pros and cons of using atomic bombs, because it's completely irrelevant to the thesis I wrote! rgh.

i suggest spraying them with a mixture of bleach a semi-corrosive material, and paint...

Bad, but kinda good- my dog shocked himself by chewing through a wire. It certainly surprised him, and I'm a bit worried that his stomach seems to have been surprised as well, but it hopefully will teach him to stop destroying all the wires in the house

Sorrow: My golden retriever, the dog that grew up with me since he was a puppy and I was a little kid, passed away in his sleep this morning. After crying for over an hour, I'm left with a stomachache and a headache, and I feel pretty horrible right now. What a horrific end to my already awful week....
