@ naylor:

Listen to me. If it is really that bad, at the risk of sounding overreactive, have you considered a therapist? You seem to have been under a LOT of stress due to school and home lately, and I think it would do you some good. Don't wait until it's too late and BIGGER problems arise. If it helps make things better, than don't wait.

In the meantime, we're rooting for you. Please hang in there. :)

Joy: I have taken my MCAT! No more studying all summer! Woo!
Joy: I destroyed the physical sciences section, wrote two great essays and did a good job on verbal reasoning!
Sorrow: I didn't do bad on the biological sciences section, but my domination of it was not quite up to my usual standards. Ironically, this was the only section I actually studied for.

Joy: Our cooking team won the contest yesterday, and we'll be getting 100% on our finals. The contest was to see who could do the best recipe with cake mix. We made lemon bars with lemon mix. The rest of them did something to do with chocolate mix.
Joy: Tomorrow MONDAY is my last full day of high school. I only have to show up for finals.
Joy: They finally started the fountain downtown. The so-called "renovation" is complete.
Sorrow: It's still an ugly fountain.

That's not being a jerk, that's apathy. Not good, but not as bad as actually BEING a jerk.

Joy: Went to a water park, then Busch Gardens Williamsburg to follow up. Had an amazing time.
Joy: I'm so happy right now I can't stop smiling, due the amount of fun I had while out today.
Minor sorrow: Slightly sunburnt, but it'll go away in a day.
Real sorrow: I realized just how out of shape I actually am.
Semi-joy: Resolved to actually start exercising or something to lose weight and not be so out of shape! Aw yeaaaaahhhh.

Sorrow: Having people yell at me daily. Partially because I am getting overly playful. I should avoid all contact with others for a while.....
2nd Sorrow: I realize that I should never, under any circumstances, play anything with anyone from the forums. It never in all the times I tried, goes well. (Minecraft, DDO, Terraria, Dofus, Wakfu, Runescape. All just fail and ruin the fun of others/make my own self miserable.

I'm so sorry people yell at you that often. :(

And I know from experience how that kind of thing (playing on the forums) can happen but I haven't given up--it NEED not be that way, and it isn't always that way.

Sorrow: Part of me is wondering whether I should start a "Counseling" thread, because I've seen a lot of people on these forums with emotional problems, and I don't like to see people that way if I can do something to help....

As much as I hate to admit it, I actually like that idea. I mean, it'd be challenging considering most people would prefer to have help via IM or PM in the least. Either way, I'm all in for that idea. Sadly, I doubt any of us are trained to council though.

I don't really think much people would post in that thread. Most people like to talk about it IRL or via IMs with just one person. I know I probably wouldn't post any of my problems... well, I must be honest, I don't have them. Had some, but got over it.

Sorrow: I'm really sick. I can't believe it, I haven't been sick enough to be stuck to the bed the whole day for more than 4 years. And now I spent the whole day in bed! This is a shame!

2nd sorrow: My e string broke on the guitar... I can't even play guitar. All day I've been watching old One Piece episodes...

Yeah, that's why I said "part of me" was wondering--I don't know if it would fit within the scope of this forum. PM's work, though. I think I mostly said it to show that I'm available a lot of the time (not always, but sometimes) and that I care enough to try to comfort people if they need it.

True. It probably would've worked better if it had been originally written as a Pirates story (it was adapted from a novel that was completely unrelated), but still, it's a flick with Jack Sparrow in it.

Also Joy: You seem to be feeling much better now. =3

The biggest problem I saw was that Jack Sparrow was the main character. Characters of the Trickster archetype don't really work. They're meant to be on the side, throwing out a little help here, a little advice there, always leaving the protagonist wondering just whose side they're on.

Joy: And yeah, discussing film is one of my remaining passions in life. I really enjoy it.

Not a fan of the Pirates franchise, though--only saw the first movie and only wanted to see it.

I as well have that, but it does not bother me much anymore. The general thing it does for me is make me panic if I get yelled at. Do not worry much though, what Chewy said is right.

I'm really sorry, but the way you put this made me ever so slightly giggle. Am I a bad person?
