I usually listen to rock and metal. (Creed, 3 Doors Down, Evanescence, old stuff like Boston and Foreigner, etc...) But lately I've been listening to contemporary blugrass and country.
Tell me how that works....

They were the most popular rock band in the eastern block. They started in '62. I hope I can get a ticket fot their concert in 2012. (It's very hard to get one.)Alex wrote:Wow, they're not bad at all. I like the vocalist's voice.Retinq wrote:Ok, who likes Omega? (the original)

Thanks for the link. Yngwie Malmsteen is now amongst my favourites. Well, it's a long list, even though i'm picky.

Exactly, that's why I said no one was actually looking for it. There are probably only 30 people who remember this band's existence anymore and now I (and you guys) get to be one of them. While being totally disconnected from their actual history, unfortunately.IJustWantLove wrote:Who are the cockles??machchunk wrote:Ladies and gentleman, the long-missing link between The Replacements and the Barenaked Ladies (which, well, no one was actually looking for, but whatever this album was good and I wanted to share): http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/demons ... d125135490

Love all sorts of music. I just wish I had a proper sound system to listen to it all on. I have to resort to imagining how amazing it'd sound with proper stuff, such as a subwoofer that actually put in a thump.
My current favorite song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOuxTQpxawc In love with the sounds of this song. Particularly the second half. Squee.
A song I listen to if I feel a bit down. Well, two. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-4wUfZD6oc just down in general. It helps to make me happy by being beautiful.

This song is probably one of the best songs that could be used for a protest ever.Tha Housedog wrote:I need a protest song for a school project. Does anyone have any songs they can think of?
We're not gonna take it - Twisted Sisters
Although, I guess it does kinda depends on what you're protesting for.

I enjoy the "Punk Goes.." series. I enjoy hearing songs done in styles not intended by the original artist. it's why I have so many A Capella covers on my iPod.

Paramore's pretty good. Comes on a lot on my Pandora Radio station. Love me some Owl City though.

I was just on a concert. The band is called Parni Valjak, an ex-Yugoslavian rock band. It's not that I really like them, but they're okay, I guess. Here's my favorite song by them:

Re: Music.
Whee, not so recently anymore I found, that Unexpect (my most favorite band along with Diablo Swing Orchestra), awesome avant-garde metal band, is going to release a new album - Fables Of The Sleepless Empire
And what's more, they already put one song for free listening on their website - Orange Vigilantes and it's absolutelysupermadlyawesome You can listen it here
I already preordered the new album (it will be officially released at 31st May), which means, it will be personally signed by whole band, I can't wait till it arrives
Meanwhile, I'm listening to the older album (plus the new released song). I love their music, it's highly experimental and unique and mad and chaotic and that's what I like about them: their awesome creativity and that they don't fear to explore new areas and do things with music, that most musicians never dare to do, that they go beyond boundaries of conventions of usual (boring ) music. It's highly inspiring, in fact, my own experimental processor and programming language was partially inspired by this band (and Diablo Swing Orchestra).
Anyway, if you're interested I recommend these:
Psychic Jugglers - so complex and diverse (you need to listen to whole if you want hear that diversity)
Megalomaniac Trees - I love the violin around 1:04
Chromatic Chimera - the beginning is (more or less) normal, but then it gets crazy :3 Microscopic Dust!
Meet Me At The Carrousel - very chaotic beginning (10 seconds) and great guitar melody (you'll know what I'm talking about when you hear it)
Summoning Scenes
Desert Urbania
Feasting Fools
and more

Bruce Dickinson will live to 100, I swear. He was 51 and he was ridiculously spry. Nicko McBrain and Dave Murray looked the most dead, and they're still in their early 50s, so I'm sure you'll get to see 'em.Alex wrote:Agreed with this one >_>redmarker97 wrote:*most super jealous kid*Sleet wrote:Hey, I like Iron Maiden too! I was glad I went to the concert at the time, but I became even more thankful when I realized I had gone to the last tour Mike Portnoy ever played with Dream Theater.
