Oh ho ho ho, what is this? No love for pineapple? I'm disappointed in y'all!

My favorite is currently Canadian Bacon and Pepperoni with Pineapple and Extra Cheese. Additionally, I add parmesan cheese and whatever crushed red peppers and/or garlic powder/spice mix the particular restaurant offers.

Pineapple on pizza is worse than tomato sauce on ice cream.

Ooooh, no you didn't.

Hawaiian pizza is awesome. The sweet balances out the salt of the Canadian bacon and...oh, it's so yummy!

EDIT: And I'll have to try tomato sauce on Ice cream sometime.

Finally, someone who feels the same way I do, who can enjoy the subtleties of ham and pineapple.

Now I want a pizza...

Also, Icharus, burgers and sandwiches with pineapple are also awesome. *hugs*

I don't like pineapple on pizza, but I never expected to like SALAD on pizza and yet the latter turned out to be really good. :D

I don't eat a lot of pizza due to a mild cheese allergy but my favorite topping has always been pepperoni, with sausage following close behind.

A little off-topic, but while I do not like cucumbers, I DO like pickles.

given there was no actual course of discussion before i asked about pizza i would be inclined to say no

especially when faux-randomness is involved. "Toothpaste? I love toothpaste! Especially cherry toothpaste with green bean curd. I put it on my dog's teacups!"
though that hasn't necessarily been involved yet. until just then.

There is a difference between having actual discourse and just shouting random stuff. We'd been going without a true conversation for several posts, with people just saying whatever popped into their heads. It's not my place to decide such things, but I think it's preferable to actually have a discussion...

I cannot deny it; pepperoni and cheese is a classic and served as my favorite for a long time!

Another good one is barbecue. Pork, beef, or chicken... mmm... Still not a match for my pep, ham, cheese, and pineapple, though. That pizza is pure love.

I don't know how much could be said about "^" or "Couldn't think of a reason not to," quite frankly, and the subjects changed with basically every post. Maybe a topic's viability could be viewed from the standpoint of how many people actually decided to talk about it? Which of the other subjects did you want to discuss?

So, I'm curious. I'm learning Japanese at the moment, but I'm learning it in romanji, instead of kanji. However, in all my experience with Japanese culture (and by that I mean anime and manga), I've never seen romanji used in context. Is it even used commonly, or is it just a way for Americans to say they can speak Japanese without putting in any real effort? I plan to learn kanji either way, I'm just curious like I said.

If you have no idea what's going on here, kanji is traditional Japanese characters*, while romanji is Japanese spelled with Roman characters (A B C D etc.).

*if I am wrong, I apologize.

Romanized japanese writing or romaji is understood by all Japanese people since they learn in elementary and used for any material targeted at people who can't read non-romanized writing or operating devices with latin alphabet-based interfaces such as computers and cell phones.

I simply can't contain myself right now. Someone is looking out for me, that's for sure.

Right, so, for college, I applied for 3 of the UC's. Riverside, Santa Cruz, and Davis. (and a handful of CSU's too, though that's not important right now) Now, for those of you who don't know, each one of these schools are ranked based on their perceived quality of learning. Schools like Davis and Berkley are top tier, Santa Cruz and many others are more middle tier, and Riverside and Merced (both of which are in the middle of nowhere to boot) and one or two others are the bottom tier.

I got into Riverside. And most of the CSU's. That wasn't much of a surprise. But what I was really gunning for was Santa Cruz. I had already scratched Davis from the list; applying there was more of a whim than anything. I knew the competition around getting into the school, and so I knew I had...well, basically no chance. So I was really hoping for Santa Cruz.

I was really angry when Santa Cruz said "no," come their admissions decisions on the 15th of March. Full of fire, I've since been getting ready to file an appeal while also racing to finish my Eagle scout rank. Hopefully, I thought, my most recent developments and efforts would have them rethink their decision.

Then, out of nowhere, today came. I hadn't been following Davis admissions since I knew I wasn't getting in, right? But apparently, today (the 23rd of March) they sent out admissions decisions. I had no idea what was about to pop up when yahoo notified me that I had a new e-mail.

Swearing with disbelief in a high pitched voice was the initial reaction, which carried on for about 10 minutes or so. This was followed by frantic calls to parents and friends, as well as just about anyone on AIM at the time. I was simply amazed that I had gotten into one of the most competitive schools in the state. UC Davis.

I'm still in shock, and now I really have to rewrite what my college plans are; where I wanted to go was actually based on me NOT getting into Davis, even though I really liked the school when I visited. I really did not expect this at all.

Now, I'm going to go do a victory dance. Or a "that's freakn' ridiculous luck" dance. Either seems applicable, really. However, I'm slightly suspisous of this...I can't help but think... "What if it was a mistake?" I'm worried about that. That's seriously how blind-sighted I am by this...

But otherwise? Really good mood. :D
