Arc #40: The Preeminent Adventures of Spot
If I didn't actually think Spot comics were pretty awesome, I'd think this was just because they're easier to draw. *giggles*
But I'm not complaining! I'm excited to see where this goes. If only I had super-vision.

You'd also need spinning, don't forget spinning!

I loved the Alt-Text in this one it great and the look on Panels 5 and 7 Stripe are great.
Re: Arc #40: The Preeminent Adventures of Spot
Bah. you beat me to it.
You know Rick, one of the convenient excuses for enjoying the Spot series is that Peanut is the author, but also the more easily excused (and humorous) ways of breaking the tradition your comic may have.
PS: Stripe slapping Spot with that glare. Luls.

I loved how you wrote the muscle practice in the 5th panel.
And I'm glad to see that Spot realizes that punching isn't thew only way to solve his problems.
Excellent comic. I can't wait to see just what Spot saw.

Re: Arc #40: The Preeminent Adventures of Spot
I wonder what kind of evil is that to make Spot (Superdog) worry. But I hope he will be able to defeat it. Evil can't triumph over Spot! (Superdog).
I'm a bookworm!
Re: Arc #40: The Preeminent Adventures of Spot
How could you even think about that, Spot!? ... EVERYTHING can be solved by punching! Absolutely E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G! I can't believe you are even questioning that!
Re: Arc #40: The Preeminent Adventures of Spot
Stripe in panel 5 is awesome! Just awesome! Great work, Peanut.
Also, I love panel 3. And this seems like it'll be interesting, despite the fact that I dislike Spot comics in comparison to the normal ones.

Amongst our weaponry are: punching, kicking, and spinning. and a nice red cape… oh within the automobile.

If there's anything fighting games taught me is that there's kickers and punchers.Dubiousity wrote:...Try kicking.
If Spot needed to solve this by kicking... he would either need a clone or partner to do it.

Also I like how Stripe's ridiculous over the top angry eyebrows are actually a pretty accurate representation of a child's drawings. It's a good thing that the Spot comics aren't drawn realistically badly,(they have to be comprehensible, after all) but it's little things like that that remind you.
Re: Arc #40: The Preeminent Adventures of Spot
So if he can see into the future and knows what's going to happen, why is he brooding dramatically? I mean wouldn't he also see how to defeat the coming evil, or is this a commentary on how Tarot works?

Re: Arc #40: The Preeminent Adventures of Spot
We don't know how his powers work- well, except that spinning was involved. Perhaps he only can catch vague glimpses and feelings, a la Desmond Hume?Indagare wrote:So if he can see into the future and knows what's going to happen, why is he brooding dramatically? (Well really I think mostly because Spot Comics tend to be a purposeful Plot-Hole-alooza)
Re: Arc #40: The Preeminent Adventures of Spot
Peanut's a up and coming comic artist and writer, so give him some slack. That said, most of the Spot comics have a more coherent storyline then most fanfic, furry or otherwise out there.Indagare wrote:So if he can see into the future and knows what's going to happen, why is he brooding dramatically? Re: Arc #40: The Preeminent Adventures of Spot
just making sure I'm not going crazy: I could have sworn that Spot mentioned something else about spinning and time before... yes?

<3 Spot comics

They're okay, i prefer the regular comic to spot comics though

Re: Arc #40: The Preeminent Adventures of Spot
Spot comics are the best break possible from the regular comic. I love them both about the same, really. I couldn't decide between them.
Re: Arc #40: The Preeminent Adventures of Spot
It's not that I don't like them, it's just that if I ask myself which I'd rather read, I'd say the storyline. I almost think of spot comics as extended One-offs, you know? I like one-offs too but after a week of them i like to get back to the storylinecopper wrote:Spot comics are the best break possible from the regular comic. I love them both about the same, really. Since when is Brood an onomatopoeia?
I'm sorry, but I just noticed that. Is that one of Spot's powers?
I never fail to miss a lot of things in the comics. That's why I love them.

If you call trapping us there for hours on end rescuing us, then yes.
Re: Arc #40: The Preeminent Adventures of Spot
Perhaps you could get Spot to spin you an anti-trap forcefield? Then again, TvTropes will enhance your life. But I digress.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:If you call trapping us there for hours on end rescuing us, then yes.

Re: Arc #40: The Preeminent Adventures of Spot
Well I find it amusing more than anything simply because Tarot does have a tendency to know all the outcomes but pretend like she doesn't or something similar so events play out without any weird time stuff happening. I agree, the Spot comics are quite clever and Peanut is doing his level best; I just find the idea that Spot (Superdog) is using "spinning eye vision" to see the future, is upset by what he sees, yet is also in a position to prevent it from happening somewhat familiar.Foxstar wrote:Peanut's a up and coming comic artist and writer, so give him some slack. Maybe he couldn't see that far into the future because all the spinning involved made him nauseous.Indagare wrote:I just find the idea that Spot (Superdog) is using "spinning eye vision" to see the future, is upset by what he sees, yet is also in a position to prevent it from happening somewhat familiar.

I guess he can't really solve this one by punching. The orphans are really cute (heck the Spot the Superdog comics are always really cute) I'm really liking this one.
