Yeah, I used to play "Animal Crossing." Then a friend asked me, "Why do you play that?" "It's fun." "Why? It's just a parade of chores."

I blinked a couple of times, then shut off the game.

I blame the payments on your house...it keeps you there until it is paid.

You can do everything, what you've just named (work in the company, buying a house and etc.) in real life. So, this game is just a waste of time.
Except it's a game about politics and war in a world where real world presidents are... players o_o

i, however, feel it's necessary to make a company with us in it just for the fun of it. you could give it a shot and if you don't like it, meh =P

pretty much, games like Animal Crossing and Sims are games that you play just to see how things progress. sure, it's a chore game, but then you just HAVE to wonder what happens in it, and that's where it grabs you

I don't really play too many games these days either. I mostly complain about them on the internet, instead.

edit: I = you

WOW I let that post go for like a week before I caught that. That must have been pretty confusing!

No. My Sims is not like the regular sims. AT ALL. My sims focuses on you being a helpful person to restore life to a forgotten town...eventually expanding it and such. How do you do this? By making people happy with furnishings! Yes, new stuff. But this isn't ordinary stuff, this is stuff created with essences. Whether it's happiness, fresh apples, anger, sadness, cake, gold, flowers, creativity... yes, you somehow put it in the furniture. The happier the people of the town are, the more people will move there, bringing life back to a forgotten town. Yay!

(...I watched my sister play it.)

Okay, do you get it now? My Sims agents is a bit different though, gameplay wise. I think it's more objective based, NOT focusing on the town, but random missions and such. I might be far off, though, because I haven't researched that game. (No, I'm not going to make the mistake of saying "The" game THIS time.)

But yes. I would call it a game. Not the type of game I'd like too much though...

There are two games on PS3, that really can make just anyone to buy this platform.
"Infamous" and "Uncharted".

p.s. And I can't stop playing "Burnout: Paradise". Pleasant music, cars crashing... It's like a relaxation for me. :)

I keep saying that to myself too. It's sorta coming true.

Ok, I searched through this thread really quickly, and didn't see this game mentioned yet, but if it has, then sorry. There is a FTP furry MMO called Earth Eternal, that is basically a WOW clone as far as game play goes. It's in open beta right now, and based on the update notes they've put out lately, is progressing fairly well. I haven't had time to keep playing it myself, since closed beta finished, but thought some of you all might want to take a look at it, as full fledged furry MMOs are hard to come by.

It does. The creators don't hail it as a furry game, but instead call them beasts and deny making a furry game when asked about it by the press. I suspect it's because they don't want any of the internet drama surrounding furries to effect the game's chances. But there was a pretty good sized furry group that had collected there, during the closed beta. I'm sure it's grown considerably since then.

Yeah, it's like most of the other Free to Play games out there, but a bit better. The game itself is free, but you can get some enhancement items with real money. But unlike most FTP games I've played, it doesn't completely unbalance the game for non paying players, like myself. The real money items are more convenience items, and vanity items than anything. And then you can buy real money credits, with in game currency, so even if you can't pay real money, you can still get some real money stuff that way, but it takes some work.

*eye twitch*

So. Many. Whistle Cacti. The cacophony WON'T GET OUT OF MY HEAD. IT WAS A WHOLE ROOM OF THEM! A WHOLE &*?$#%@~ ROOM!! AND MY BROTHER SPENT HOURS IN THER--

*slaps self*

Sorry. Bad memories.

But yeah, I game when I go home to California. Got a PS3 for Christmas.

-inFAMOUS (bolt-guided ball lightning + using a huge mega-strike from the heavens to smite thine enemies' fleet of turret trucks = epic win)

-Uncharted 2 (there's a reason why it got so many awards. Seriously, it's really like you're in a movie)

-Portal (in which it was reinforced that I'm not as clever as I want to believe)

-Left 4 Dead (Hanging back and letting your gung-ho partner jump into the middle of the hoard is a surprisingly sound strategy. Then said partner "accidentally" jumps on a car or blows up a gas station...)

-Mirror's Edge (Again, not very clever. But Faith doesn't help by being a retard. Not grab on bar...BEST DECISION OF LIFE DURR *splat*)

-Persona 4 (Quite possibly the best thing to ever hit the PS2. Or at least one of the best)

-Beatle's Rock Band (The final moments of the opening movie are beautifully strange. Heck, the rest of the game is too)

-Sonic Adventure 2 (Once in a long while. I still think it's the best 3D title Sonic ever got)

-Bioshock (All my plans turn to ashes before my eyes. Death stares me in the face. Big Daddy is mad, and I've got no Eve or bullets left)

-Halo 3 & Halo ODST (A little of both. Gung-ho friend worked out a lot better here. Well, at least in H3)

-Half Life 1, 2, and friends (Gravity cat action-scientist is not amused)

-City of Heroes/City of Villians (Why did I have my character look like Colonel Sanders again?)

And a bunch of others I don't remember right now.

1. those things you so aptly called "whistle cacti" are called gyroids, just for future reference.
2. Just got portal today, looking forward to it.
3. Sonic adventure 2 was absolutely the best Sonic title ever. Unfortunately, it all went down from there, and now sonic is dead, franchise-wise. :(

Yeah, it has some problems there. I tried it again a few days ago, for a little bit, just to see what progress they were making. It runs smoother now, but still not all the way there yet. They still have a lot of code optimizing to do I'm sure.
