FURRIES ON THE MAP!!! =3
Hello everyone! =)
Haven't visited this forum for ages)
Ok, and now I want to show you some furry magic.
Ta-Daaah!!!
http://furrymap.net/
This is the world map, where you can mark your home(and all other places you visit from time to time) after registering, add your friends to your friends list =3
Also, when you will register you can edit your profile and add there contact information like your galleries on DA, FA, Inkbunny and etc.; some information about you like "Hi! I'm Anton! I'm a lonely silver fox searching for a friend", and if other furry from your city will register and see you and read that - he may send you a message asking to meet =3.
So, it's funny and interesting idea we all were dreaming about ^__^
p.s. I hope that this topic wasn't discussed on these forums yet... ^^"
p.p.s. You can add me to your friends list on Furrymap by searching "Raptoranton".

I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with just letting all these people know where I live. -.-' Especially since so many furries are, well, dodgy.
Welcome back to the forum, though! By all means, stick around.

Guys, it's a common misconception that all furries have certain interests in certain parts of anthropomorphic animals. I'm a furry, and I don't condone in such thoughts. Stop watching CSI.
Anyway, interesting idea. I'm not willing to make an account just to put a marker on a map, but this could be useful in an argument against furries... or just to scare some zealots. :p

Does anyone else find it hilarious that there is one, single, solitary furry in Antarctica?

His/her fursona is probably a penguin. Duh.
I don't think anyone mentioned that stereotype. It's probably best not to talk about it here anyway.zeroslash wrote:Guys, it's a common misconception that all furries have certain interests in certain parts of anthropomorphic animals. EVERYONE who agreed with sleet (sleet included) is a furry, and knows this.zeroslash wrote:Guys, it's a common misconception that all furries have certain interests in certain parts of anthropomorphic animals. I'm a furry, and I don't condone in such thoughts. Stop watching CSI.

I will propose that anyone who is a fan of anthropomorphic characters with animal characteristics, such as Renamon, Bugs Bunny, CatDog, and...dare I say it, Housepets! characters, are furries.
That's the definition on wikipedia, anyway.

Re: FURRIES ON THE MAP!!! =3
i thought i was the only furry where i am, turns out there is one right on my door-step, now i don't feel alone here and i'm not going to stop watching CSI it's to good to miss . i'm not going to raise up a conversation about this stereotype but there are 3 stereotypes i can not take at all; Furries, Emos and Americans and i hate when media stereotypes these types of people. I don't blame CSI though for making it all about the "Interests" of the fandom, but that is pretty much their storyline every episode it is either cheating or "interest" so again i don't really blame them.

Re: FURRIES ON THE MAP!!! =3
A murder (or more accurately, an accident) around a realistically portrayed furry convention would make for a pretty boring episode. Though to be fair, every episode is pretty terrible.
You'll find that if there are talking animals, there's always going to be at least a furry or two in the online community for it. When I was first becoming a furry I thought I was so unusual too. X3

In a time warp from 2011.

Also, I don't think I'll be willing to put myself on that map. The other furries I've met IRL were a bit... stereotypical crazy furries, if you know what I mean.

Besides, it's kind of hard to get attention from one-on-one abusing/harassing people, so there's nothing to worry about with regard to them.

Internet Furry Proximity Locater. It's a really old site. It found six furries in Warren (out of over 9000 people, probably a higher density than usual), all of which are or I'm assuming are:Sleet wrote:IFPL?

Don't forget
>Really creepy.
I just stay unlisted. I'm perfectly fine not finding furries near me; chances are I wouldn't like them anyway. If I want to meet furries, I'd just meet ones I already know and like (like the ones here) or go to a convention.
