You've certainly gotten a good feel for the fur, which looks a lot more natural than it does stiff.
Try overlapping the fur a bit though, so it doesn't all start and end in a pointed grove.
Consider trying more rounded and realistic eye variations. Eyes can add a lot of character and emotion.
The muzzle should be a bit less rectangular and more curvy. They get thinners towards the nose.

Other than that; good proportion, nice drawing and excellent progress!

I suppose what I meant to say is that the snout is longer than the jaw.
This muzzle terminology is confusing. I didn't study to be a vet.

that's up the the art style really, hands and feet are usually also drawn way bigger then normal.
If a artist feels like making his nose to big he can :P

Heh, something of an introductory post here ^^ [note, avatar is /not/ a fursona. That's a character, Sabe, from my novel(an excuse to work on pre-production AND get NaNoWriMo done at the same time)/computer game.]

Found the comic a while back (on rick's birthday of all days! XD), and then found the forums a few days after and joined... and then I never posted, since I didn't feel like making any art that wasn't 3D ship sprite art, and I felt that my first post had to be an art post. (If you like ship sprites... here's a gallery: http://forums.devdb.org/index.php?topic=11.0 - image heavy)

Anyways, ... so here's some of my better art that I've uploaded and scanned in recently (all concept art for my game in fact..)
Image

And what little preliminary info there is on my game: http://forums.devdb.org/index.php?board=40.0 - its only pre-production stuff right now, so not much to look at.

That is an awesome introductory post. Welcome to the Housepets! forum community, Avan!

...

So that you may be more properly greeted and to preserve my sanity, I'll direct you toward the Welcome Thread.

This will also prevent heads from being splattered against walls, which is not a threat or anything.

It's that lack of defined lines that gives it a professional flare.
Rough sketching is a habit I just can't get into. When I sketch, I draw.

(Esspecially Dissension, for providing the link, because I spent a while scrounging around for the welcome thread last night (and I was already really sleepy) so I hadn't managed to think of using the search option (which seems rather obvious now that I've gotten some rest))
