I started with Simcity 2000. I liked 3000 much better. 4 was impossible. 3000 was actually pretty easy, but 4 was so difficult. I might as well have been trying to run an actual city. I couldn't play it, it was too hard.

I've played Sim City, but my favorite games in the genre were Roller Coaster Tycoon, Pharaoh, and The Sims (before The Sims 2).

Roller Coaster Tycoon was amazing, swallowed up so many hours.

Oh-ho, yes. That game was absolutely god-like. I used to play for hours on end. I miss it. :<

Oh yes, I played a lot of Roller Coaster Tycoon as well. And lots of The Sims. I never played the Sims 2, and I played the Sims 3 and stopped after 3 days.

The Sims sequels never improved much on the kinds of stuff I liked about the games, so I quickly got bored with the first sequel. By the time the third came out I was already gone.

I have mine too. I never get rid of my games. I still have my collection of Amiga games from when I was like...two.

Third one makes me gag, personally. I gave up on it pretty quickly and went back to the 2nd (don't tell me the 2nd was a waste of money I know it was, but it was a minor improvement on the first).

I'm hoping I can pick up a new game over the next few days, probably Tales of Vesperia.

I have been watching the now emerging cod7 nazi zombies videos and I can truly say that for the first time in my life I am TOTALLY geeking over something. Not only is there a map where you defend the pentagon as cold war politicians, but they are also continuing the cod5 Nazi zombie story with new world war 2 zombie maps! I HAVE BEEN WAITING SOOOO LONG FOR THIS :D

I'm a big Pokemon fan, have been always. I do admit that some of the spin-offs are just bleh, though. However, the main series I like, and I absolutely adore the PMD series.

Hey guys, I stumbled across the 5th generation Pokemon.

In the 4th generation, it seemed like they weren't using their imagination enough. And this new generation looks like they were using their imagination too much. Most of them look like Fakemon, but these are them.

So, tell me what you think about them.

EDIT: I still believe that Generation 1 was perfect, Generation 2 was awesome, Generation 3 was also awesome, Generation 4 was not-so-good, and Generation 5 is not good.

I like a lot of the new designs. I just figure they need some getting used to. At the very least, the games themselves are supposed to be really good, so I'm thankful for that.

For what it's worth, I preferred the 4th generation designs over the 3rd generation.

Well, yeah. That's what I heard a lot of people say. I guess I like generations 1-3 better because I've played Red, Blue, Silver, Yellow, Crystal and Ruby, but I've never played Diamond, Pearl or Platimum.

I had Diamond, but it somehow got lost before I reached the first gym leader. I'm going to buy a new one soon, though.

Well of course you don't like them then! :3 They're great games. Make sure to get Platinum though.

I've played Blue, Red, Yellow, Silver, Sapphire, FireRed, Diamond, Platinum and HeartGold, so I've seen about everything there is an try to be objective about it, rather than being one of those people who refuses to acknowledge that Pokémon continued to be good after the fad was over. That said, I still think the original 151 designs were the best, but that was just because they had a clean slate and hadn't used up any of the good ideas yet.

To be honest, I think some of the designs for the 3rd generation are a bit weird too.

Nevertheless, they are still great games! Too bad they eat so much time... :(

Most of the gameplay in Pokémon is replay value, so I don't see their short length as a big issue. I would rather them be longer, though.

Yes, but there hasn't been a single game in which you could catch all of them without trading, so it kinda defeats the purpose.

No, it just means buy more games or find friends who play. Or go online to trade.

I enjoy raising a good team, not just beating all the trainers, so I get a lot of time out of that. Some people like collecting, and some people even collect alternative colored Pokémon, which is a lot of extra time. Pokémon games are so big, how much gameplay you get out of them depends entirely on what you want to do with them.

"Last" is an absolute term so you can't modify it with "very."

Don't be a Grammar Nazi.
On the topic of games, and not English, I've been playing Star Ocean: The Last Hope lately. It's good but the battle system leaves something to be desired.

I believe what he wanted to say was

"I see it very much as a last resort".

Anyways, hey, how about those video games.
