Re: Trivial Things That You're Proud Of
My supervisor is taking me off the phones for a little while tomorrow so I can apply for an interim non-supervisory supervisor position. I'd basically be on the team that takes over calls when a customer demands to speak with a supervisor and/or threatens legal action. I only qualify because they waived the requirement that you be in your current position for 90 days. *shrugs*

You're fine! The shrugging I tacked on the tail end is easily misconstrued.

Re: Trivial Things That You're Proud Of
Today when I walked into my History classroom, I looked at the front wall and noticed my teacher had moved a poster from the chalkboard by her desk down to below the chalkboard, on the other side of the room.
I was curious as to why, but my teacher's not exactly the kind of person who would like to answer the question. So I toyed with the idea for a few minutes, and eventually decided that the poster was losing its grip to the wall. It must have fallen down next to her that morning, and she moved it closer to the floor and further from her desk, in case it fell again, so it would be less distracting. I figured this was far fetched, but it was interesting trying to think of a backstory for the moving poster. Then class started, and I forgot about it.
A few minutes, the poster fell down.

If they're doing something wrong, that's not really something we should be discussing. If p33wii is blankey statement-ing, then that's really not something we should be discussing.

I'm proud that I can shoot a gun very well, having never done it before. I just came back from a pistol basics class.

Re: Trivial Things That You're Proud Of
I've been on my days off. When I got to work today, I did the usual routine of logging into the phone and computer and setting up my programs and whatnot, then started checking my e-mails.
I passed the preliminary phase of consideration for the promotion I mentioned previously and have an interview with my potential supervisor and another very senior supervisor on Monday.

Re: Trivial Things That You're Proud Of
You should be proud that you at least are disturbed by it. The first step is admitting you have a problem, they say.

Re: Trivial Things That You're Proud Of
That's really easy to do. That's nothing to be proud of because just about anyone can do it.

I am proud that I am learning to breakdance, but don't have a grat space to practice so I just usually do air-flares.
