Re: Sleeping
I try to get enough sleep every night. I get a lot of sleep for a college student (very rarely do I get less than 6 hours a night), but I don't get 8 hours as many nights as I would like. I have a lot of work to do, plus I procrastinate too much by talking to you jokers. So I end up staying an hour or two later than I'd like.

Re: Sleeping
i developed a system to fall asleep nearly instantly (usually). but i cant really explain it, just instead of trying not to think, try to let your mind wander.

"Sleep is for the weak" -R. McNamara, 'Thirteen Days'
I sleep up to 6 hours per night, weekends included, so to have more time for my creative processes to work. During workdays, if I am really sleepy, I concede a 30 minutes break on the train home.

What is this "sleep".
Is it a form of C4?

Re: Sleeping
I sleep like 10 - 12 hours a day. I'm always really tired, and I have bad sleep anyway, so it's not really pure sleep for those 10-12 hours, more like, several hours of me tossing and turning every night, and it just takes that long before I get enough sleep to not feel exhausted the entire day.
Re: Sleeping
8 hours of sleep never seems enough for me... I can still wake up, but I will almost always go back to sleep if there is no reason for me to be awake early.
Actually, I think no amount of sleep is enough. Even if I sleep pass that, I will still feel tired. And if I sleep too much? Headache + Tired.
Sleep is bothersome, I kind of wish I don't need to sleep...

The other night I only got three hours of sleep. Curse thunderstorms and everything to do with them. >.<

Re: Sleeping
I have a weird sleep cycle, and if I deviate from it, like tonight for instance, I wake up after a few hours and can't get back to sleep for the rest of the night. If I keep to the weirdness, though, I am out for eight blissful hours of unconsciousness. I just wish my internal clock was set to the time in the outside world, so that I could get eight hours.
Re: Sleeping
The average teenager is meant to get 10 hours sleep per night, this is to allow us to go through the processes of deep sleep, and teenagers should get up at 10am everyday because that is when we are more productive.
I roughly get somewhere between 8 to 6 hours sleep per night (excluding weekends and holidays).
Added: And I love to have dreams in my sleep but I have not had a vivid dream in a long time, and eating cheese isn't helping either, which is really disappointing.

Re: Sleeping
School starts at 7:20.
Most teenagers I know cannot fall asleep until at least 11:00.
Teenagers are recommended 10 hours of sleep.
I see a problem here.

Re: Sleeping
I go to sleep late every night (after midnight), but my school doesn't start until 13:30, so I can sleep in every day ! Except Monday and Friday, that's when I have to get up at 5:45.

Re: Sleeping
A lot of people do, actually.
I never knew teenagers were recommended 10 hours. This is interesting to know, since biologically speaking I still am one, as much as I hate to admit it. That would have been nice to know considering I woke up at 9 today.
Also, I try my best to never ever take naps. I don't think I've taken a nap since I was a kit.

Re: Sleeping
In school time I go with like 7 hours of sleep, during holidays and on weekends it depends, mut most of the time between 9 and 11 hours.
Re: Sleeping
I leave at 12:00 every day to catch the bus. Yes, our schools have shifts - first and second. First shift starts at 7:30 and second at 13:30. We have to do that because we lack classrooms to have all students in the school at the same time. Every school in the country does that, it's just that the shift changing system is different. We change shift from first to second and vice-versa every year, while some schools change it monthly or something like that.CaptainPea wrote:WOW! Re: Sleeping
I always had nightmares about sleeping through days at a time... which I guess is kinda ironic.
Re: Sleeping
Slept through a whole day? I heard some people have done that but I thought it was an urban myth. The Game wrote:I've slept through a whole day before.
Added: I was told once by my mother that I slept through a few days as a child but I don't think that is even possible, and I am sure she was joking.

I could never do that. My biological clock kicks me out of bed after nine hours max.

Re: Sleeping
Three days? She must have been in hospital, I don't think it is possible for someone to survive asleep that long under normal circumstances.

Re: Sleeping
they werent normal circumstances.
lets see, this was either when she had hypothermia, (she might not have gotten hypothermia at all. i forgot) slept walked down the sairs and fell a story, or she might have just been sick, but there was an issue.
