Hmmm, the inside colors of Grape and Peanut's mouths are inconsistent.
Oh well, I guess I still like the comic though >_>...

I think it's more that Grape's mouth is open enough to allow light to enter her mouth and illuminate the inside, thus giving off a red color.

And that is the funniest "sick" expression I've seen in a while.

In terms of the comic, I have gone to the bathroom outside in the middle of winter before. Not fun.

I promised myself into not going to overanalyze this comic, but *one* thing must be said: the 'bathroom' gag is definitely pointless.
Come on, Rick! I mean, there is simply NO point in not allowing your pet to go to the bathroom:
1) it avoids the task of cleaning up the pavement with your hands
2) it is more hygienic
3) it avoids the annoying routine of walking out the dog.
4) pets in this world can be potty-trained, since they both have the intelligence level and the physionomy.
And yes, yes, you'll always reply this is a comic, I know. Only wanted to exercise my right to constructive criticism.

I think Pete is just doing it on purpose. Plus, would you honestly trust a dog with, say, Daisy's intelligence, to effectively do their business in your bathroom? Hmmm....

Is it just me, or did Joel get used to the "I was just magically transformed into a corgi" thing rather quickly? I mean, I'd still be at least a little confused...
