How did you come up with your username?

A good indicator is if whatever someone says would be mean if they were being serious. On most places in the internet, that doesn't work, but here, people being legitimately unkind is extremely rare, so sarcasm or joking is a fairly safe assumption.

Very well, from now on I will assume people are joking when something someone says appears to be a conflict. I just hope no one attempts to be deliberately malicious in the future...but then again I think Rick or the moderators would ban them and delete their posts before long after their posts are discovered.

Okay.. The story of my username is really long and complicated, but I'll try to shorten it down to as small as I can make it...

When I was younger, my brother and I both became fascinated in exotic folklore. One mythological creature that stood out to us was the Japanese Kitsune. He and I both started to discover forums, so we were making separate accounts on this one webcomic forum and my brother chose KitsuneKit. I wanted to do something involving Kitsunes also - not to mention having a similar name to my bro - eventually came up with the KitsuneOfDarkness (KoD) on account of my affinity for darker-arts and such. I used that name for everything.... However, one day, I became sick of my forum persona. I was always the mischievous and violent little trouble maker with a bold attitude and short temper. But alas couldn't come up with a thing... Finally inspiration hit me while reading Romeo and Juliet.

The irony of an oxymoron called to me - seeing as how I have split-personality disorder - I found an odd homage to the idea of two completely different things coming together as one.. I wanted to keep it something involving Darkness to keep to my roots, so I figured the opposite of darkness is light..... So I plugged "light" into a thesaurus and found one that sounded nice, slightly-masculine, and could be abbreviated nicely..

Thus LucidDarkness "Lucid" was born. :33

The closest thing we have to an undercover mod is Dissension. *shhhhh, don't spoil the secret.

There is something of a story to mine, but not really. It comes from a mispronunciation of some bad rap lyrics, and the word (at the time) stuck with me since second grade. It became my username for...just about everything.

The short answer is alternate fursonas. But they aren't other usernames, rather names for those characters that I use. And the only other name you're missing is "Silent."

There is no real story behind my username.

You see, I'm the only one in my family with red hair. Because of this, they nicknamed me opy (Think Andy Griffith Show). That has nothing to do with my username, I just wanted to share just how hilarious my family can be. My hair has a weird coppery/ rusty sheen to it, so after a few false starts at registering, I picked copper out of frustration, and it stuck.

So there I was, sitting at my desk.
I happen to have a tree growing right by my window.
Windy day I recall.
A piece of the tree snapped off and landed on my shoulder.
I picked it up, looked it over, and said to myself, "huh, two little twigs."
"Two little twigs... Two twigs, Twoooo twigs"
Dropped the s, capitalized the second t, bam, instant username.

I was kinda desperate. Making usernames has always been a stickler for me.

Same here. It always takes me a long time to come up with user names. I'm not exactly proud of my Xbox Live username (SnowFox7) since it's generic enough that I had to use a number, but there was someone looking over my shoulder and I didn't want them to think I'm weird for thinking so long. If I could go back I'd just use "Sleet Fox."

Also suck at thinking of user names. Some of the ones I used before this are downright terrible.

Basically stole a friends idea of putting words into a Latin translator for a username. Tried Green, for my fav colour, and it came up with Viridis so I used it.

So anyways my name started some 2 years ago on the Spore* forums (the Sporums, as they were affectionately known); I got the name from this dumb little guy I made:
