I do see your point that it would be irrational and hasty to refuse to be involved in the Furry Fandom over one reason (even if that one reason is a rather major point) but I do have other minor reasons why I should not get involved in the fandom:
1. I would fear getting involved with the wrong furries - there is no real distinction between the furries I would be comfortable with and those I wouldn't which relates to my major reason.
2. Low numbers of furries - I would be part of the small percentage of 3% of furries in Europe. I would almost be totally isolated in the UK, and I do not know any other furries at all so I would find it incredibly awkward going to some furry conventions on my own.
3. Lack of interest in the fandom - apart from the more literary parts of the fandom as well as the general interest in humanoid animals I would have virtually no interest in anything else about the fandom such as art and roleplaying. This does not mean I do not like Housepets though. (even though I would find art and roleplaying interesting, it is not really my kind of thing)

These are my reasons and considering everything I believed it was best not to get involved in the fandom.

By the way, "Kingford" is all one word, just so you know.

I have no idea what half of those words you said are, and the half I did understand I know translate perfectly fine into English. Keep in mind this is an English message board so not everyone will be familiar with Japanese words.

So I looked it up, and apparently you're some variety of petting zoo person. I'd say that probably fits into the "furry" category. What kind of animal are you?

In its broadest definition I could be considered a furry, but I dont view myself as one. I appreciate clean anthro art, but thats really it. I can't see myself roleplaying or having a fursona. Just your run-of-the-mill sci-fi/ fantasy geek here.

I like comics and I like to draw cartoons which sometimes might have anthropromorphic animals in them. That's really it. My association with "furry" stuff ends there.
