Also yes I know there are plenty of places that look like that in peoples' backyards; my house back in NC had some pretty neat stuff nearby (was one house away from Lake Macintosh), but growing up I largely lived in Missouri, land of Miles And Miles Of Corn (Much like Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas)

November is neither Summer nor Winter, but Fall/Autumn or Spring (depending, you know...).

I'm happy with the arc so far. Is there a malevolent twist approaching? ONLY TIME WILL TELL!

Yes all mammals, marsupials, birds, and some fish can talk.
but only the pawed mammals have stood up on there hind legs an have tool-using hands.
the hoofers, birds, and fish are still normal except for being able to talk.

My question is why couldnt zach tell his dad "Im going in the woods with my racoon freind, oh yea we ate all the cookies too" it would save alot of worries plus his dad wouldnt have to yell "TIGER WHO ATE ALL THE COOKIES!" but yea i like the story line

we'll discover that once there was equaity between species, and the mythological creatures were the custodians of peace, then Man somehow broke the balance and the eldest creatures like Pete were banished.
