Sorry for not posting anything for a while, this was my first week of college so I was trying to make sure everything stabled out, including my sleep schedule, which caused me to fall asleep every time without fail after I came home from school. On top of that, tomorrow I should be getting my new laptop tomorrow so I've been getting ready to transfer all the game files over to a USB, as well as planning for how I'm gonna balance out this and HP! Fanimated!

Though there's not much fear for a slow down in production once animation for HP! Fanimated kicks back in, cause as stated early on these updates aren't very hard to draw. The only thing that might cause a delay is the process of working on the new animation style. So either late or after friday the next update will be up :)

Well, I figure charlie is probably going to loose his balance doing the 'fall down the pit' scene. Instead of landing on prepared pillows, he falls on lego's maybe? Then Bravo could be like 'Oh, that's gotta hurt'.

Then again, wild speculation is just that. Speculation.

Let's get back into the swing of things! I appreciate the speculation while I was away though, shows that you're already trying to piece things together based on what you've found! That attitude could save you guys in the longrun ;)

-----------------------------
Image

"Luke": Not now FATHER, can't you see I'm talking to The Emperor; The most important person in the galaxy?! Gosh!

"Vader": And I understand that son but that doesn't excuse--

"Palpatine": Come on Luke's Father, stop being such a killjoy! Besides, this stopped being about you long ago.

"Vader": But I--

"Palpatine": Vadeeeer, stop putting yourself in the spotlight and wait until we're done talking!

"Vader": *Sigh* Yes my lord...

*"Vader"'s mental state has dropped slightly*
(Mental States: A character's mental state changes depending on what they are exposed to and what happens to them. If a mental state gets low enough, you will begin to lose control over said characters actions and their physical appearance may begin to change, which may be noticed by an observant character. A low mental state can vary from things other than sanity, such as sadness, anger, fear, ect. Depending on the character, certain mental statuses could result in terrible outcomes. Always keep watch of a characters mental state, and try to keep it high. Or don't, it's up to you!)

Image

"Palpatine": Now that we're not being so rudely interrupted, I'd like to bring your attention to "Your friends are going to die."

"Luke": My friends are going to what?

Image

Image

Image

"Palpatine": Awww how enraging that must have been for you to witness! Doesn't it make you just want to, I don't know, take your lightsaber back and try to kill me and embrace the darkside?

Response:
1: Attack Palpatine
2: Do not

Action: Attack Palpatine.
I do this not to drive him to the dark side, but because I always felt Luke could've killed the Emperor here with justification. I mean come on, after all he's done killing him now wouldn't be "vengeance", just "justice".

Hmm..There's a third option here that can be exploited by a Combat Pragmatist..First deny it, then when he has his back turn..shankity, shankity, shank!

But I'm going with option Two, because I don't feel like being that combat pragmatist today..

Option 1, but with a justification: for example "I WILL kill you, but not out of hate. In order to maintain peace in the galaxy, I cannot allow this to continue."

Option 1, killing him is justified since he did just wipe out a rebel squad.

Option1...ish: noogie the emperor to death. for great justice!
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

I agree with this! To an extent: maybe not noogies, but he should be defeated in some humorous way rather than with just the lightsaber!

Sure! Don't see why not! :)

-------------------------

Image

You use "the force" to take your lightsaber from Palpatine.

*Toy Lightsaber (Green) added to Echo's inventory*
*"The Force" added to Echo's inventory*

Image

"Palpatine": HOLY CARP! You where actually gonna dew it! You're way more evil than I thought you where

"Luke": Why WOULDN'T I?! You just killed thousands of people, I'm the least evil person here! This has nothing to do with the force, this is justice!

"Palpatine": Vader, stop him!

"Vader": Oh NOW you want me to get involved...

Image
(You're feeling rather immersed!)
ImageImage

Combat Engaged!
1: Dodge Left
2: Dodge Right
3: Duck
4: Swing Left
5: Swing Right
6: Improvise

Combat: Combat is handled by making choices based on your opponents next action, openings, weaknesses, ect. Each participant in a fight has an estimated amount of health indicated by the icons seen above. The colors behind their portraits mean the following:
Good, Fine, Okay, Low, Bad, Critical, and Down.
If a character goes down, it means they are no longer able to fight, and depending on the situation can mean something terrible for them (or they're just knocked out). Remember, your goal may not always be to completely down a character. Getting them to a low enough state may allow you to show them mercy, escape, or end the fight in another manner.
Something to note is the "Improvise" action. If you have your own specific action you'd like to try, want to use an item from your inventory, or want to use something from the environment, you can make the controlled character do so. This can also be abused to let the controlled character take damage or fail an attack, should you so desire.

Improvise by making it look like you're going to fight Vader, but as soon as his guard is down, kill "Palpatine".
