It's going to take over 500 posts to beat our current high score.

We could let the mods high score get past ours and get the +2 back, or at least that is how I think it works.

I'm really not sure how the scoring works for this game.

It says that if the members score is higher than the mods, our interval in +1.
Also, if the mods' score is higher then the members' score: The members' interval is +2 till 80% of the mods' score is reached, then only +1
So, if mods can get past our score we get our +2 back or we post over 500 times to beat our current score.

Ok, but how is the Mod score calculated? That's what I couldn't figure out.

The mod score is the lowest number that they can get to.
The mods have -501 compared to our 565, so we are winning until they get past -565
We have no goal here other than to destroy the other teams progress.
Perhaps we can set an official cap at 1000 or -1000

Well, their score can only go up if they start posting.

The question is: Should we let the mods get ahead? It'll make it a lot easier since members reset the mods score to 0 no matter what and we get our +2 back.

If that's what you want to do, I have nowhere to be and just started Jurassic Park, so I'm in for a long haul if you are.

I have some projects I need to work on today and tomorrow. I think we should keep an eye on this thread to make sure the mods don't get to far ahead (if they even care about this). Then we can resume our efforts to reach whatever number we're trying to reach.

Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.
