There were quite a few problems with the drawing, so this one's not gonna end up in the fanfic. Currently working on a better one.

Oh, he's had it for a while. So far he's been holding it with his leg claws by taking advantage of the System's vide-game logic that allows massive spiders to climb walls. Orion actually built himself a spear out of a leg bone and a giant snake tooth early on. Had to use two legs to control it, and he could do the most damage with it by dropping from the ceiling and adding his mass to the strike.
Swinging a sword was easier to deliver damage with, though.
