Thanks, everyone!
Re: Art Thread
Inspired by the trope of tokusatsu shows (in the west, the primary example is Power Rangers) where their hemets, after they take enough damage, will break open, revealing their faces.
Keep note, Macabre’s helmet is borderline indestructible.

Re: Art Thread
Really great job on how this came out! It is very nice but at the same time I'm terrified at whatever inflicted THAT much damage on Macabre.
Re: Art Thread
Looking good D-Rock, not familiar with that trope but I can see it's effective, Mirages hair/head fur looks impressive in that previous drawing and you've got that stance well (difficult I imagine).
Well here is the latest instalment of my comic, any thoughts and comments on the drawing, plot or otherwise always appreciated. Took me a while to draw some of these panels, still not entirely happy but on the plus side I know what I need to work at now. I have a plan for what will happen over the next few panels but as this is the end of this chapter I'm may pause it here for a while so I can draw other bits and pieces (and take a break!).

Great work, D-Rock! It kinda reminds me of the end of the 2002 Spider-Man with Tobey's face showing through Spidey's torn mask.
Amazing stuff, Daunted Deer! Funny and wonderfully drawn!

Good work, D-Rock. Aww, very nice continuing of that comic, DDeer, they both found the best solution for each other.

Really love that trident that you made! I'm sure the wielder gets a ton of cool points when they use it!
Re: Art Thread
Thanks to Daunted Deer, I found out about this thread.
There are really a lot of great works to be found here
In addition to my Housepets! guest comics, I would also like to show you my other, own works.
This one is based on a drawing I once drew as a child. Last year I took up the idea again and that’s what happened.
Titel: Midnight flute sonata
I hope you guys like it.

Niiiice. Niiiice. Really pretty! She looks like Squeak a bit! Reminds me of the Yarn Ball strips too.

I honestly thought the mouse looked a bit like Spo but I guess it depends on which gender the mouse is.

Laurana, mother of Mirage, with her hood up and down. She mostly has it up at all times, only letting it down in private with her husband and daughter. Otherwise, she keeps it up to show an air of authority, as she’s often tasked with dealing with Infernal influences.

So THAT is what you call those things that you see on certain snakes! That is good to know! Nice work on her!
Re: Art Thread
Thanks! She's not as laid-back as her husband.
Re: Art Thread
That's impressive Tinnier, I like the way you have shown the moonlight hitting the trees and the character and the texture of the Moon, good skills on show.Tinnier wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 7:13 pm Thanks to Daunted Deer, I found out about this thread.

With what we have seen with Duke I sure do wonder WHY they don't talk about him. Great job though Ryder!
Re: Art Thread
Quite the interesting family.
Re: Art Thread
Duke does look to give a valid cause for concern ,
My latest doodles, trying to get better at Foxes (or at least fox like characters), trying to work out what exactly makes a fox look like a fox and not a wolf or a dog.

Really great job on your practice Daunted! The drawings look really nice actually!
Re: Art Thread
Really good Daunted :)
That's funny, I asked myself the same question too.
For example, I had the problem of drawing a husky like a husky and not like a wolf.

Thanks, glad its not just me, the more I draw the more I realise it's all about proportions and relationships between the different features, (even in the comic world), if these are off it never looks right no matter how you embelish it (you can exaggerate these and tweak them but it is intriguing how if some key features are off or missing the brain will at some point just go not a fox any more!). Huskys are hard to get right (and coincidentaly one of my favourite animals) one of my characters, Chloe is a husky anthro (scroll back a few pages to 264 on here and you can see her) husky tails are tricky, pretty unique how they curl back on themselves, Rick gets that spot on with Bailey I think . You seem to have a crisp lineart style, I need to work on that some.

If you keep practicing and don't give up I am sure you will be able to get it!

I am currently reworking my own characters and it's true, the proportions are important (but not just alway easy to implementing that it looks good).
For example - enclosed my fox Finn and the rabbit Luis and below my husky Pumkin, who is based in memory on my own Siberian Husky Lucky (nickname Kürbis - German for pumpkin).
I try to draw my fox / foxes with a slim body, a slightly more pointed snout, large, pointed ears. The bushy tail is of course a matter of course for a fox.
When it comes to huskies, I use my dog and Rick's Fox and Bailey as a guide. For example, my dog was muscular but still relatively filigree. Huskies are generally well-proportioned dogs with no bulky impression, with moderately compact bodies. And right, husky tails are not exactly easy to draw.

Very nice work, Tinnier and DDeer. Good work with your characters, D-Rock. Good job with that comic, Rydr, they look so dangerous.
Re: Art Thread
All good, all`round. Art's hard but you guys are good and it shows. Hey, Rick's art evolved, too.

Really awesome job on the pictures Tinnier! The art reminds me of the show "Ren and Stimpy" a little bit!
