Here is a picture of my character, Randy (Ratatoskr). I mentioned a little while ago that I needed pictures of my new characters and here is the first one.

I love the way that picture has come out! I was about to ask why she wasn't in a wedding dress then I realized that animals don't usually wear clothes. LOL

So then I am assuming that she is sort of adopted then and actually acts like a big bully based on the picture?

Biological. Macabre is neither of the species of his parents, so who's to say that a human-shaped one is out of the question? She was born a little after Macabre left.

And it's less that she's a bully and more that she's an outright sadist.

Halphas did a somewhat better job at raising her than he did with Macabre pretty much to make up for it. Gretchen, on the other hand, was just as dismissive of her.

At first.

Lillith got joy in causing souls even more despair to the point that Gretchen finally took notice, and views her as worthy of her time.

Oh so it is MACABRE that is the one that is adopted? Makes sense.

Make sure Mirage keeps hers and Macabre's children away from grandma Gretchen and aunt Lilith.

They're blood siblings. Fully related. Same parents. Any way I can make this more clear?

Though you're correct in that Lillith is a danger to many, including Oliver.

I missed the part where you said "biological" and thought that it meant Macabre was the one adopted since you said he was a different species.

Halphas is a pigeon and Gretchen is a goat. None of them share a species.

Consider Pete and Dragon. They're related, Pete dated Cerberus, Dragon wanted to date Peanut. with spiritual entities, species doesn't seem to matter at all.

…"biological" was the first word. :|

Tried my hand at Celestial Mirage again using Valentine's Gale as a reference. Wasn't too happy with previous attempts. Not wholly satisfied by this, either. Kinda stopped liking by the lining phase, to the point of not bothering to add all the details. I'll try something else later. Image

well there's five major spots you'd need to fix to get the anatomy straightened out. balance, the positioning of the 2nd leg, the impossible wrist position, the chest, and the raised arm. and while i admit, my own grasp of that is far from perfect, i figure i could offer some advice.

Image

Firstly, Balance. the character is standing on one leg, yet said leg is off center.
if you've ever looked at someone standing with only one limb touching the ground, watch their hips. they instinctively shift their balance to get that leg as close to center as possible.

next is the other leg, bending the way it is, the knee either needs to dislocate, or be on the side. straight on just doesn't work.

Image

then we've got the wrist. your wrist can only bend 50-60* before it has to twist to go further, yet you've got it going almost 90* with no twisting visible. redrew that.

next is the chest, this is the easiest bit to fix, i just widened one side to accommodate the fact that the spikes being centered and straight forward means you're looking at her head on, not slightly off to the side like the reference you were using was.

and last is the other arm. the underarm should be smoother since it's stretching, not constricting in this position, and the hand works better in a position that shows fewer fingers. also the elbow being straight on makes more sense than side on from the posture.

Image

lastly, when cleaning up the lines, don't be afraid to redraw or resize sections that look off. the first pass is almost never correct.

Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Wow, a lot was messed up on my attempt. :shock:

Thanks for the advice. I do attempt to make corrections when I start the digital process, but no way I would have caught all of these or fixed them correctly.

It used to be a sort of "hulk form" that came out when she was enraged. She's since learned to control it completely with Macabre's help. Now she uses it during tough fights, or to tease Macabre for a bit. :roll:

Also works decently well should she feel like intimidating less-than-wholesome individuals.

Tease Macabre. Is that a good tease or a bad tease? Good as in he is really attracted or bad in that he's really terrified by it? :geek:

Mirage towers over Macabre in this form.

The way I've been thinking, normally Mirage is equal to Zach, Macabre equal to Jack. Both have enhanced forms. Macabre remains the same height. Mirage grows to be as tall as Gale.

Initially it was Miles, but he's not too much taller than Jack. :lol:

"Shock" more than "terror." The one who was terrified was Mirage when she realized that she changed in front of him. She didn't like showing the form to anyone at the time.

Macabre rolls with things pretty quickly, though, so he helped Mirage get more comfortable with the form.

Well you said she uses it to tease him so I figured she changed a few more times for him in order to achieve that. Though since I know he isn't afraid of her in that form now, I'm gonna go with teasing him because he's attracted to it.

Haven't had much urge to do serious drawing, so I made this, eyeballed one of those neck pillows. Made directly digitally. Have Rocky's bone brace, complete with gem. Considered making it a gif for different-colored gems, but motivation isn't there.

As for the different color gems for D-Rock, when I asked about different colors, I meant that as if they would change color like a mood ring and what color would they be for each mood.

I didn't think much further than what I posted, honestly. Frankly, it was to add my favorite color to the character without making him too garish. At most, it'd change for different occasions like choosing an outfit, but even that was dropped.

It's your character but I don't think the gem being like a mood ring would be that garish. Depends on the moods he has though I guess. Of course since red is "neutral", we would need to change the colors around a bit.

Red=Neutral
Pink=Overjoyed
Gray=Fear
Green=Bravery
Orange=Laziness
Yellow=Knowledge
Purple=Passion
Brown=Sloth
Maroon=Anger
White=Confusion

And yes, most of them are Raven's Emoticlones.
