Sorry no figure drawing this time D| *bricked*
So... this is the final assignment of my perspective study subject for my college,
took me quite a while to finally finish it, and thought of sharing it |D (and I guess I can call this technical drawing yes? >3> )

So... this is the construction drawing (Sorry for the huge image size D| ) (DA link)
Image

And this is the cleaned up version, roughly shaded |D (DA link)
Image

I was supposed to add in more stuff like background and foreground objects, but I'm out of time D|
Sure it is hard to do technical drawing using pencil on paper(without measuring) without the help of digital modeling D|
Anyway, hope you like it |D

Very good Technical drawing. Reminds me of the blueprints I drew up for the victorian mansion I created. Did you take drafting?

Don't Give up on my account! Those bluprints took three months On a drafting board with every kind of scale and stincle you can immagine. It is not something I can do all that well.. :(

...drafting board?.. *googles*

Eh... ohh.. errmm... no I didn't use a drafting board, ^^;
it is space consuming(my room is small D:),
I drew this with just pencil on paper, with the help of set square. |D (without measuring, well, we can't measure, since all things are in perspective |D )
If that's what you wondering |D

Perspective is known as Isometric to a draftsman. I could do it with only a square, but the drafting bord makes things easier. And since I draw blueprints the drafting board is nessary....

Well, we learn this subject, the ultimate purpose is to understand how to construct things in perspective,
which we're going to use it when we're modeling something in 3D in future semester,
it is a mix between learning new techniques while understanding how things look like in real life,
and have the ability to construct something accurately without eye-balling.
For example, we are required to split one of the side of a cube into five equal rectangular parts, with perspective, measuring is out of questions,
we got to use those techniques to accurately plot it out, and surprisingly, this is actually less time-consuming and easy and accurate,
and this is vital when it comes to digital modeling, so we won't be clueless when that time comes. |D
I wasn't supposed to draw it like this, I picked the angle randomly and accidently, it ended up isometric.
We didn't treat this as a blueprint, but rather, we construct it with lots of planning and calculation
(but it would still be similar if we actually draw out those side and top views like what we did for blueprint, which I didn't this time D| ),
this could get more complicated, if I were to choose a more dynamic angle, but I was out of time D|
But what's different is that, the criteria is a bit different here from what you do, |D
We are only required to use those techniques we learned and show an understanding of how we view things
as well as showing our ability to visualize and construct something, again, without eye-balling,
So... yeah, a drafting board isn't really necessary for me |D plus I'm not a professional |D *bricked*

Hope I cleared things up |D

P/S: No I didn't take drafting |D

Wouldn't that technically go in the "Favorite Pictures" thread considering he himself did not make them?

well I'm not arguing that it does take skill to make something on the computer say vectors or whatnot, but as art..i dunno I view art as something someone creates withe either a brush, pencil, or on a tablet, that kind of thing. But that's just me.
