“Freaking foxes...” Blood muttered.

One of the pets Rav was talking with broke off from the little circle they were in and began walking towards them. Blood didn't look particularly eager to meet the new dog. He only stared with his unnervingly red eyes.

Cam didn't notice Hotep come up. "Oh, hi." Cam said. "How about I introduce myself to the dog, and ask about the ball? Then I'll toss it to Hotep." Before hearing Rav and Hotep's answers, Cam turned and walked up to the German Shepard. "Hi! I'm Cam." He said. Cam held out a paw to shake.

“Blood.” He flatly responded and shook the collie's paw with a strong grip.

“What's up? You want something?”
The bigger dog looked over Cam while messing with his super-charged bouncy ball.

“What's up? You want something?”

Lucky gave the shepherd a glare and frown as he faintly heard what he responded with, hoping to have reached some sort of common ground with him he became slightly irritated that he might've lost ground. AFter a moment of grudging Lucky watched as another pet came up to them, though as Lucky saw where he came from he saw more pets around Rav and they were all looking at them which could only mean they were planning something with Blood and himself in mind and with the looks and smile from the other group he had a feeling Rav wasn't just introducing them to the new pets. As this new pet introduced himself Lucky stayed quiet and kept an eye on him.

Whelp, he's toasted and roasted now.. looks like we are going to need some type of diversionary tactic now.

"Just wanted to introduce myself." Cam replied. He had a spiel planned out, but this dog really looked quite mean. Out of nowhere, Rav dashed past Cam, flying towards Lucky. "What the-" Cam couldn't finish his sentence, as he watched the scene unfold before his eyes.

Lucky was busy watching Cam and inspecting him he almost didn't catch Rav sprinting at him, it caught him off guard a bit and he looked slightly wide eyed not sure if there was something else then it raced to him that maybe he wanted the ball but he wasn't running at Blood he was coming for him and Lucky had very few precious seconds to either dodge to try to trip Rav up....if he could. As Rav was near even with Cam Lucky let impulses take over and he did his best to push off of the tree a bit and get clear of Rav.

Hotep paying attention caught the ball before the fox. Hearing foot ball terms he rushed past the two on the ground "its a flea flicker to the linebacker as he rushes for the touchdown!"hotep said on the run through the trees

Blood flinched and went wide eyed as Rav flew past and smacked the toy straight out of his paws, and right into Hotep's possession. The guard dog suddenly dropped all interest in talking to either Lucky or Cam.

hotep looked back before streamlining himself and darting forward with new speed. he ran straight at a large trunked tree. "Banking right!" hotep said moving a small ways left barely missing the trunk of the tree before sprinting away hoping his trick worked.

Blood veered off further to the right of Hotep, continuing to chase him. That pup would have to be more crafty than just dodging close to trees if he wanted to shake a dog like him.

Blood snapped his jaws dangerously close to Rav's neck once he managed to get shoulder-to-shoulder with him, aggressively shoulder bumping back while keeping up his running pace. Suddenly, Hotep was sprinting as quickly as he could ahead of them with Blood's ball, heading towards the street...

Was he going to try escaping all together?

“You might wanna move, *Huff* A LITTLE FASTER!!”

Blood double-timed his sprint, closing the distance between himself and Hotep to mere feet, like a wild dog going in for the kill. Just a little closer and he'd catch him...

[Hotep the psychic]

"uh-oh" Hotep thought moving back into the orange grove with a quick U-turn. He then moved into tall grasses and soon knew he was out of sight. After hiding the ball in a knot of grass he moved away a bit into a different patch of grass eyeing the spot like a wolf ready to pounce.

Being knocked over and regaining his breath he watched as the others sprinted off with the ball, at this point he was a bit irritated and now he really wanted to get back at Rav as well as the new pet. As they left and it was just him he figured that now maybe he could show Blood what he was made of and to get the ball they may have to work as a team so Lucky took a few deep breaths shook out his legs, got into a running stance pushing off the best he could he sprinted after the others following the scent of the other pets getting close enough to hear Blood yelling after Hotep and to see Rav bumping into Blood
"All or Nothing"
Lucky muttered as he controlled his breathing to a steady increase as he sprinted faster and faster catching up to the others with slight difficulty. When he saw Blood was about to rip Hotep up he noticed the dog make a quick turn back into the orange grove, trying to eliminate one problem Lucky put all he had into his speed and caught up to Rav, grinning as he wanted to get back at him for tackling him unexpectedly, Lucky moved closer to Rav and with a leap he returned the tackle, swinging down and wrapping a leg around Rav's tripping him up, when they went down Lucky hit first and when he did he let go and tried to recover ignoring the stinging in his shoulder as he rolled and pushed himself back onto his feet, not looking back to see what happened with Rav. Lucky was more concerned with keeping up with Blood.

Lucky moved closer to Rav and with a leap he returned the tackle, swinging down and wrapping a leg around Rav's tripping him up, when they went down Lucky hit first and when he did he let go and tried to recover ignoring the stinging in his shoulder as he rolled and pushed himself back onto his feet, not looking back to see what happened with Rav. Lucky was more concerned with keeping up with Blood.

As his ankles suddenly clack together, as if he was just calf roped.. an he goes face planting down into the ground..

he sits up looking dazed.. Hey ref! where the flag!

As the pets below them suddenly fell into what seemed like a game of rugby, Petir kept his silence. He saw the somewhat strained conversation going on between the German Shepherds and the red fox, before they launched themselves into the impromptu game. He saw that no one cared when the other fox up the tree fell onto the ground as he tried to get some more oranges up a tree. What was more obvious was the fierce competition streak in each of the running pets below him.

The old cat thought, what a weird relationship and network of communication between all of them. Maybe he could do something?

As such, he corrected his sarong sling and faced the silent silver fox next to him. "You don't want join them play?" he asked Kayla. "We need to go down this tree and talk to everyone. Much more fun."

Petir nodded, and climbed down along Kayla... only with a difference. Halfway down the tree, he leaped from the tree trunk and landed on all fours, unexpectedly graceful in execution, though it was more due to his strength. Absorbing the shockwaves from the landing, he stood up and extended a paw towards the still-on-tree fox.

"Let me help you," he said with a grin.

"Pfft. You wouldn't want to see me try to keep up with you all..." Cam promptly answers. "This isn't my forte, that's for sure."

Blood dove into the grass after Hotep, only to lose sight of him almost immediately.

“YEAH RIGHT!”

The big dog shouted as he halted in the middle of the tall grass occupying the space between the rows of still growing citrus trees. His head popped out over the grass, looking around and quickly sniffing at the air.

About ten meters in front of him, Blood saw just a tiny bit of movement through the unruly tangle of wild plants that had spread over the orchard. He quickly ducked back down and began steadily stalking through the grass on all fours, following Hotep and his stolen toy by scent.


It didn't take Blood more than 30 seconds to find his sky ball, tucked under a relatively thick layer of weeds. Maybe Hotep dropped it.


Whatever the case was, the giant shepherd snapped the toy up in his jaws and stuck his head out over the grass to check again for any sign of Hotep.

Rav dashes over to the grapefruit tree.. plucking several down, he launches his impromptu missiles in the direction of Blood an lucky! Splatt splatt thump splatt thump thump!!

“Erk!” Blood spat the ball out and shook his head, wiping away the sticky guts of the fruit Rav had managed to beam him in the face with with.

“Ravage!” He could only barely see him further behind the trees. It was a lucky shot if anything from that far away.

“You're gonna pay!”

The coydog shouted with a twisted smile, holding his ball up in the air and pointing at Rav with his free paw.

[Hotep the psychic]

Hotep pounced with ease and soft silence to snatch the ball from bloods paw before disapearing into the tall grass again. he laughed loudly as he bounced it on his head showing where he was.

[Marine Fox]

Lucky chuckled when he knew Rav was down and heard his reaction but then he turned his attention to Blood who he had just caught the tail end of diving into the tall grass which he presumed that the pet thief and the ball had disappeared into. Lucky stopped to a jog on the edge of the grass, remembered his owner's tips and tales of his past experiences and from what he had detailed grass like this was perfect for what he called "Sniper's" and he even showed him how to move through it almost seamlessly, the only problem he had to move incredibly slow but as he thought about this he spotted Blood poke up through the grass and almost immediately get hit with what appeared to be a fruit, Lucky couldn't help but laugh at least until a baseball sized fruit hit him in the shoulder painting his already skinned shoulder in not so soothing fruit fragments and acidic juice causing Lucky to wince in pain and in the initial shock yelp slightly but he quickly composed himself and shook off the pain glaring back at where the fire came from before putting his attention back on Blood.

Blood was angrily pointing at Rav with the ball and almost as if it were calling him the same thief pet snatched the ball from Bloods grasp and disappeared back into the grass but this time Lucky saw where he was headed ad saw the grass parting as the pet moved as well as the small ball bouncing on his head. Lucky cut into the grass getting to all fours and getting as low as possible to the point where his stomach slightly scraped the ground at the same time he pulled his boonie hat a bit lower and when he moved he kept a slightly slower pace than before and almost serpentine'd through the vegetation keeping the grass somewhat from revealing exactly where he was but as he neared the laughter he started to catch scent of the pet and the scent covered ball.
And after a moment of slowing to cut off the pet Lucky saw light flicks of fur through the grass and when these flicks of fur were confirmed as the thief pet Lucky quickly sped through the grass closing the distance easy and tackling the pet through the grass almost snarling as he did so, doing his best to wrestle the pet onto the ground, wrapping a leg around his leg and wrapping an arm around his ball arm he used all of his strength to pin these appendages to the pets side and tried to then wrestle the ball free.

Hotep yelped in surprise as lucky suddenly was on top of him, he switched the ball with a quick flick of his paw and twisted his held paw in a clock wise direction to slide it out, before jabbing it into luckys pressure point in the throat and rolling him over so hotep was on top. "Not this time lucky, im not giving up easily!" hotep said trying to free his leg by pinning luckys leg with his own and keeping his free paw on luckys shoulder for easy elbow blocking.

Hotep yelped in surprise as lucky suddenly was on top of him, he switched the ball with a quick flick of his paw and twisted his held paw in a clock wise direction to slide it out, before jabbing it into luckys pressure point in the throat and rolling him over so hotep was on top. "Not this time lucky, im not giving up easily!" hotep said trying to free his leg by pinning luckys leg with his own and keeping his free paw on luckys shoulder for easy elbow blocking.

Lucky was actually shocked, dazed and surprised by the pressure point impact and that daze was all hotep needed to turn the scrap into a losing battle for him but he had been trained well and now that Hotep was getting to say the least "violent" and was going for fighting techniques Lucky was more than happy to fight back, restraining himself to where he hopefully didn't break bones but he did go hard enough for him to feel it. He grinned as he worked to free his arms and a leg to get ready to push back
I didn't count on *aghh* getting that ball with *Huff* your permission sweetheart"
He grunted this between huffs and breaths letting a toothy grin come over as he sacrificed his hold on one of Hoteps leg so he could quickly and with some force behind it bring his knee directly into Hotep's ribs and knowing he had both legs free Lucky needed to get him off so with a swift motion Lucky moved his leg farthest from the shoulder side Hotep was holding down to Hotep's calf and then Lucky grabbed the arm that had previously had the ball and at the same time with the leg on the calf he pulled Hotep to the side with as much force as he could to throw him off hard.

Hotep flew off unsuspecting luckys form. Quickley recovering into a more balanced stance he lifted one leg from the knee breathed out lengthy while moving into a more balanced martial arts position with the ball in his front paw and his back paw out at an angle. "Snake stance. Focus movements and blocking to keep the prize from being grabbed. Then switch to more game of catch." Hotep thought as a smile formed on his face. Once lucky moved in to grab the ball hotep moved his arm quickley like a game of grab the pebble from the hand.

Lucky took the moment to get up in a fighting stance, take a few controlled breaths and also try to establish who his opponent is and look him over. Lucky wasn't stupid, he didn't charge in he kept a fighting stance and edged a little closer to this pet every moment or so, thinking to himself and trying to establish the best way to beat him
"Alright, he definitely knows what he's doing, he isn't afraid to get his paws dirty so neither should I maybe even dirtier if need be, his stance is..odd but looks like a ninja pose or something maybe jujitsu or something along those lines so I either want to get in close enough and overwhelm him or attack from a range"
Lucky looked around for something to throw at the pet but when nothing to stable or useful presented itself in such a manner it could be used Lucky chose close quarters, he then started to establish a way to debilitate this pet without breaking bones.
Lucky started to take a few steps at a time till he was practically within arms reach of the ball he kept a solid glare on the pet, debating whether to make a grab for it or continue with trying to knock this "thief" out of the game.
Lucky made his decision and took a quick stride toward the ball, making a hasty grab for it and of course the faster feline anticipated this and easily moved the ball from his grasp but Lucky, grinning like a "shot fox" (Cough cough Pun Cough) kept moving toward the pet and a second later he got his footing, threw his forearm at the pets chest and brought his entire right leg behind the thief's and in one solid motion he pulled the pet down.

Hotep pounced with ease and soft silence to snatch the ball from bloods paw before disappearing into the tall grass again. he laughed loudly as he bounced it on his head showing where he was.

“Hey!” Blood barked in surprise. He was too distracted yelling at Rav to keep the ball away from Hotep, who was lying in wait not even feet away in the grass. Annoying little puppy...

Blood snorted and ducked back under the foliage, ignoring the burning pain on his nose as the citrus from the fruit he was pelted with soaked through his bandage. At least Hotep was making it an interesting game.

Even more so when he came upon Hotep and Lucky squaring off against each other in the cover of the grass. The former still in possession of his favorite ball.


Blood crouched back down on all fours and leaned back.

“HER-RAAAHHH!”

There's no way the little dark furred shepherd could have avoided Blood's tackle, launched from a concealed position at near point-blank range. Blood had caught him head first, but considering the fact Hotep was significantly smaller, he wrapped his arms around him upon contact and pulled him into his chest, somersaulting multiple times like a furry tire with him in the center.

The two stopped just outside the tall grass, Blood now sitting upright and holding Hotep in a bear-hug, smiling like crazy.

“Gotcha'. Now where's my sky ball?”

Strangely enough, Blood didn't seem at all upset. He sounded like he was really enjoying the game, Especially now that he'd caught the little thief who ran off with his toy.

So lucky has it" hotep said looking back through the grass to see that the ball landed on luckys head after he got tackled. In hoteps mind he could only think of a chinese instrument playing a small rising tune in success. Noting he was stil in a bear hug he raise his elbows as leverage and slid out to blood chest area before using his own legs and flipping backwards to throw blood off. Once up he shook himself off, "RUN LUCKY RUN!"hotep yelled

A strange sound of a hissing rattle, starts up in a thicket of tall grass right next to where the two dogs are wrestling on the ground..

As the two were separated and the ball under Lucky he immediately picked it up and protected for a second unaware that the pet had been tackled off. When he realized what had happened he stood up and triumphantly held the ball to his side as he watched Blood question the smaller feline. But when the thief yelled at him to run he wasn't sure why he would do that when he was fighting mainly to get back at Rav but to help Blood in the first place. Lucky played the party pooper and started to walk over to Blood at least until he heard the rattle and froze in his tracks, scanning at his immediate area for the source but not finding it he tried to guess the area from where it sounded from and sure enough it was next to Blood and the other pet, Lucky just looked at them wide eyed hoping they didn't try anything stupid.

Halfway down the tree, he leaped from the tree trunk and landed on all fours, unexpectedly graceful in execution, though it was more due to his strength. Absorbing the shockwaves from the landing, he stood up and extended a paw towards the still-on-tree fox.

"Let me help you," he said with a grin.

"Thanks." Kayla said, grabbing Petir's paw.

"Excuse me," Petir then stated, and using Kayla's paw in his as a leverage, pulled the silver fox towards his body. But before she could actually fall, the old cat caught her using both arms and secured her. However, his feetpaws struggled under their combined weight, and Petir had to take one step backwards to stabilize himself as he gently lowered Kayla onto her feetpaws.

"I'm sorry for landing rough, my old body is not strong like when I am young," Petir said matter-of-factly, bowing his head a little. "Now, let's join them."

Lucky watched as more pets walked over, and to his surprise a silver fox joined them but it appeared until they got close they didn't realize the danger in the midst, lucky pointed at them and with a bit of harshness he spoke loud enough for them to hear
"Stay Back, Don't come any Closer"
Lucky looked at the German shepherds and motioned for them to stay still as well, then he looked to Blood and started to swing the ball trying to bet his attention that he was going to pass it to him.

Cam turned to to Petir and the other cat and suddenly heard a sound. A light rattle, somewhere to his right. Every other animal was frozen, unsure of what action to take. Being the furthest from the snake than anyone in the group by far, Cam slowly backed away while making sure not to make a single sound. Once he reached a large distance from the snake, Cam turned and ran for help.

As the little dog backs away the snake turns it attention to the larger one.. a flicking tongue tickling blood's grapefruit flavored nose.. Rrrraaaaatttllleeee!.
