"I say confront him about it." Raises a clenched paw in the air as he stand up on the bench. But suddenly, he builds up a certain urge.

"Um excuse me guys, I need to go use the little jackal's bush right now. Hehe..." He rushes off, taking care of his.... business....

Flynn decides to take the initiative.
"That you, Mister Badger" he calls. He does unconsciously move behind Hutch though, just in case. Piper hopes fervently that Leslie is out of earshot of the language and if he's not that he doesn't try to repeat any of it. She also hopes the others in the kitten's group will be wise enough to keep him away from the cavern until they know it's safe.

Blick had forgotten that the thumping was a distress signal. She had been quiet, trying to detect their smell over the overpowering stench of the dirt and mud that was not too far off. As she follows Leslie, she eventually starts to find old trails they left. "You know, if this place was better lit and had some chairs it'd make a pretty cool clubhouse..."

Leslie glanced at Blick on occasion as they headed towards the others. He sniffed on occasion to make sure they were on the right track and wondered about the few scents he didn't know. "Dew yew know those scents, Mercury?" He asked his mentor.

Deeper in the caves the badger waits, sitting on a rock holding a large cardboard box filled to bursting with old records and piano rolls. One side has separated completely from its partners, and is held in place only by the burly animal's arm.

Tesla gave a short, "Yes." From a few feet into the next tunnel, having already started down it. His machine still carved a small train into the stone floor

And with a little help he's soon got the box down to the edge of the river.

"I reckon we'll have to carry this over a bit at a time, the rocks being kind of slippery there."

Oreo peeks out from behind the big huge hulking wolf, that scampered to hide behind. dragging Koa and Pyre with him to hide.
What could eat a wolf!?
Oreo then looks over at the tasty mouse.
You could always try herding the cats up somewhere, then belling their tales.

The badger grabs a few of the flat disks in his claws and scrambles onto the rocks, then changes his mind and returns.

"It's rough enough for an old fella even without carrying anything, I reckon I'll let you kids handle the records, I'll take these."

He digs through his coat, pulling out a variety of rural implements such as you might expect a poacher to carry and piling them up against the wall, then stuffs half a dozen of the piano rolls into his commodious pockets.

"Reckon I can handle these. Don't touch me kit there, some of it'll bite you."

Unencumbered he scrambles across and deposits his hoard in front of the other animals. He seems a bit startled by the wolf, and doesn't approach him too closely.

"There you go, don't know why I kept these, just didn't feel right lettin' em get ripped up."

Elliot finishes up with his 'business' and decides to send a text to Faust

"Hey Faust, I'm just gonna head out Kousa and a new huksy called Blizzard to some tunnel at Flynn's house. I'll call you when I'm done.". He also leaves a smiley.

He starts walking up to the two dogs as they come into view.

Hutch took some records and carefully made his way across the stoney path.
What kind of equipment do you have that bites? Mouse traps? Hutch asked. He made it across and placed the records next to the cylinders.

Doc kindly hugged the Husky back as she did so, chuckling and replying cheerfully
"Heh yeah it's been a while! How've you been?"

Though soon the faint sound of voices and footsteps down deeper in the cave drew the wolfs attention, not sure what to expect as it could be feral's, pets, or something else. In any case the wolf listened and waited, chuckling a little at the felines quick act of bravado in the group it was definitely appreciated but if it were ferals it might be best for the two post-ferals to confront them, but it didn't matter as eventually a voice boomed out requesting help, but before Doc could even discern who or what was going on with this Hutch and Nadia were volunteered to help so the wolf relaxed slightly, read just in case it was something dangerous.

Idly waiting it seemed to be only a few moments before another set of voices seemed to echo lightly through the caves, these much less profane and calmer, the wolf turned his head to where he thought the voices were coming from and spotted the group of pets approaching, again no need for concern so he had to remind himself to chill and try not to tense up too much.
In the middle of it all Doc felt a presence behind him not turned to see Oreo dragging
Koa and Pyre along with him

"Haha Dont worry Oreo, no one's going to eat anyone...hopefully heh"

As the rescue group returned the source of the noise from earlier seemed to be a badger who at first sight did not seem to enjoy his presence so Doc watched but kept a well mannered stance, and it seemed he was noticed again as the small kitten from the new group pointed him out. Doc smiled and gave a friendly wave in reply.

Lemme see! *ahem* Please, may I see?" she corrects herself politely, stopping in front of the badger as she remembers her manners and checks her headlong rush, though her excitement is still visible in the forward pricking and slight quivering of her ears and the eager smile on her face.

Mister Badger seems taken aback by the bold bunny.

"Maybe I oughta keep these for baitin' snares if they have that effect on rabbits!" He grins toothily, "Just kidding, um, lass. There's a whole mess of 'em over yonder, if you feel like draggin' em over. And some regular records, but they're real weird, they just make 'woop-woop' noises, I figure that's 'cos they're for humans an everyone knows humans are slower than regular animals, it's how come they live so long."
