Joy: Got some adorable bunnies for a steal today!

They're Royal Doulton porcelain Bunnykins figurines. According to an antiques website, together these bunnies are worth $199AUD ($141.85USD) but I got them for $115AUD ($81.97USD).
Bargain!

Sorrow: I'm at my wit's end with this awful Wisconsin winter. The weather couldn't be worse. Everything is covered in ice, which made my daily drives to and from college a nightmare. And it's now absurdly cold. I hate winter!

You wanna send that winter weather over here? I would like there to be a winter before it ACTUALLY ends. Stupid global warming.

Sorrow: Feel awful. Feels like I caught the flu early this year its destroying my sleeping patterns as well as I can't literally get any longer than 3 hours of sleep at a time.If it is the flu, I caught it much earlier than in year than usual as I tend to catch it just before winter not in early autumn.
Silver Lining: I guess I won't be spreading it to the family members as this time of year is very quiet.

I try to avoid unnecessary medication unless I really can't stand it or some other good reason. (Joy) Fortunately I was able to sleep better last night. I keep a small supply of "non-medicinal" aids such as soup satchels and the like around to help out, rather than rely on medication directly if it only treats symptoms.

I have to admit I think I'm worried I'm suffering from Rhinitis medicamentosa. That is rebound congestion because I used nasal spray to help me sleep one night.

Joy: Went to a really cool, little, local museum and was shocked to see a picture of my great, great, great grandfather on the wall in there! I'd always thought of him as a bit of a rogue because I was told he'd jumped ship in Tassie and then had some troubles with the law (which was true). What I didn't know was that after the law stopped chasing him, he settled down and became quite respected in the community. Apparently he was a skilled bargeman and master mariner, not to mention a beloved family man! So that was neat! He lived from 1852-1918 if you're wondering.

Joy: My medallion is done and my maker is posting me my head, handpaws and tail this week! The body suit will follow in a couple of days once she's finished working on it. The medallion is actual Tasmanian blackwood and I got it dirt cheap!

Pretty close! I usually translate it as "God has won, therefore I have won."
It's something my pastor said that stuck with me and helped me through my depression so I made it my motto because it reminds me that I can deal with whatever life throws at me!

Hopefully its not too serious

Joy: Feeling somewhat better. Coughing quite a bit however so I'm not totally done with it yet
Annoyance but not Sorrow: Major roadworks have been happening on the street I live on for weeks. They're been replacing the stormwater drains and pipes. Its going to be nice when its all done, but I'm getting frustrated at the noise. Especially when I was sick last week and the noise would often wake me from sleep.
