Joy:Getting close to the end of Pledge period, it's definitely stressful but it's pretty freakin exciting too.

Joy:Got to go to detroit for the WIngs game this saturday, his parents are loaded and were able to get a suite through his dad's work, so after watching the Wings win we got to hang out in his basement, just a really good night in general.

Sorrow:I have an obnoxious summer cold that won't go away.

Joy (for once):

Saturday, Me and my friend went to "Mad Monster Party" in Charlotte. It was a three day horror convention, but we could only go Saturday. It was AWESOME! I got to meet a lot of celebrities! Marky Ramone and Ace Frehley were there but the lines to meet them were an hour and a half wait and their autographs were expensive. I missed the chance to meet Rutger Hauer but I did see him at a panel discussion on "Blade Runner". I did meet Angus Scrimm, the star of my all time favorite film series "Phantasm". I got him to autograph my "Phantasm" DVD and I had the opportunity shake his hand and talk to him for about 3 minutes. He was super nice! He asked me where I was from and what I did, and I just gushed because it was my first real celebrity moment! I also got an autograph from John Russo and an autographed copy of "Hour of the Beast".

I came away with two books and a whole bunch of buttons. I would have got more but stuff at conventions are pretty steep price wise. It was like Christmas for horror buffs. I also got to see Linda Blair, Bill Moseley, Ogre from Skinny Puppy, Tony Todd and whole bunch of other people.

The centerpiece of the event was they played a extended director's Clive Barker's "Nightbreed" which rocked! I can't wait to get a copy, even if it is a bootleg. That movie changed my life!

Afterward, we ate at a cafe called "Diamond" and I got home a little after midnight. It was my first Con experience and it was more fun than I could ever hope for! I want to go again next year and Hero Con this summer.

Better to be wierd and boring than not have any unique qualities. I'd much rather have people think I'm nuts than fade into the crowd.

Are you taking any medication for it? :( I don't like the idea of fixing depression with medication, but no one should feel as bad as you're feeling. I hope it will go away on its own, but I don't know.... If you need to talk, please don't be afraid to. In the meantime, take heart--it is NOT true that you don't have anything to live for, and the best proof is that you were born at all. You just haven't FOUND your way yet--but you will, if you allow it.

You could grow a beard. I did.

In fact, first I shaved with a razor, then I used an electric shaver, then I grew a goatee, and now I have a full beard.
