But anyways, good luck Chewchew.
No you don't. Trust me. It's equally bad to be underweight as to be overweight.

And thank you.

To be fair, being underweight is often much easier to fix. ^^; Unless you are one of those who have a extremely fast metabolism.
But I hope you fair well with whatever problem it is you speak of.

People who are underweight usually have metabolisms, appetites and eating habits that make it difficult to gain weight. It's like being overweight in reverse.

Can you get permanent scars from being underweight? (I don't mean being so you're just skin and bones now, just a bit under the "Healthy" weight)

I USED to be overweight. That's what's weird. And even now I sometimes eat more than I need to at any given meal.

But thank you, Flint.

I really appreciate both of you wanting to help.

The part I CAN tell you (another part I cannot) is that I fear I may be underweight (low 140's and 5 1/2 feet tall), and that I feel a constriction in my throat which I HOPE is only allergy-related. And the night before last, I had what I call "day-mares"--like nightmares except I was awake.

I'm not having the best morning, and some of this problem is chronic. I need to stop going without eating, and start exercising more.

And the worst part I can't say on this forum at all.

But thank you for listening.
well, good luck with that second, unmentionable problem. and with those daymares.

but using the info provided there (weight and height) your body mass index actually falls in the higher end of normal weight. that's not to say you can't stand to gain some muscle, BMI doesn't really take that into account.

Sorrow: my ankle still hurts, and walking is my only real way to get around campus. guess I'll have to take the bus to math tomorrow. and make a stop by Student Health Services to see if I can't get a cane of some sort to give it some rest.
Paradigm Shift by me
I do not actually believe any of what I'm saying.

That really sucks, he says in general. I hope you both get better.

I don't really have a sorrow, other than just having these weird depression "Attacks" I guess you could call them, since they happen at random.

Also... 140lbs, 5.5 feet tall is underweight? I'm 110lbs and 5.5 feet tall, I'm underweight. Don't even worry about that.

Sorrow: My friends driving me crazy. Every time I get to sleep early, he wakes me up two hours later to tell me something stupid. Then I'm up for the rest of the night. >:

If it's your thing go for it.
I never went because I thought it was kind of silly and I've never regretted that, but if you actually want to go and aren't just going because it seems like something you should do, then go have fun.

Neah: my cat is stalking me :?

Joy: had the past couple of days off and we got a shipload of dvd's and wii games that dad's friend was going to throw out.

Sorrow: spent about three hours last night having to do extremelly nessecary stuff I didn't want to do, especially as it made my chest hurt more. but snuggles under my duvet made it better afterwards

Speaking of weight. I'm 5 feet 8 inches(measured precisely), and I've just weighed myself to be 124 pounds. O_o That's 2 points or so above normal weight on my BMI. Okay. Not underweight then.

Sorry to hear that, Chrispy. :( Don't hesitate to talk to someone if you need to. A friend being ill like that can bring on a lot of stress. *hugs*

Joy: Early this morning my sister became a mother and I became an uncle.
Sorrow: I'm hundreds of miles away so I can't see her and the baby in person.
Sorrow: The damaged tire from my friend driving into a ditch went flat so I'm using a spare for a temporary fix.
