That's like 4 or 5 to me! Its songs developed too slowly for how interesting they became. There just wasn't enough tension/release to justify songs that long. That's not to say I thought it was bad. It just can't compare to those two albums.
This is 100% true! The Wall was epic! Comfortablu Numb is one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs of all time! The guitar solo is so basic and that's what makes it awesome-the lack of all that stupid extra stuff!
So, i like Tom Morello's creative and fast guitar style, and i like Chris Cornell's epic lyrics and awesome voice, so naturally i love Audioslave! Anyone else?

It will take a while until I finally collect all the songs I like, but i found this yesterday:
Minibosses - Contra http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WW3zQEq9FY
I just can't stop listening to it. It brings back memories.
Actually, its RETINQ. See, Retinq. Q.

I like Audioslave more because, although Rage Against The Machine's lyrics all make interesting political statements, every one of there songs seems to have a stupid part where all they do is swear for a full minute. Audioslave has Chris Cornell from Soundgarden writing most of the lyrics, with Tom Morello inserting his beastly guitar riffs where they need to be!

That's what Finland has the best compilated together in one great song.
Ville Valo (HIM) + Lauri Ylönen (The Rasmus) + Apocalyptica = Great Song!
So uh...it's very clear you like modern "sort-of gothic" metal. Abundantly clear. Let's make something of this! I've been mildly interested in gothic metal for a while, and I've found it to be a single-based genre. I mean, there's only so much disgusting melodrama one can take in one sitting; I still have not been able to survive an album full of it. But, I do like some of the ideas! So, bearing this in miiiiiind...let's post classic gothic metal!
For the record, I hate Bittersweet. I think it's pretty much the worst Apocalyptica song of all time. Because I can't stand Ville Valo (or hist terrible band HIM for that matter), and I dislike Lauri Ylönen's voice, and The Rasmus too.
Sleet wrote:I really hate to admit it, but I actually kind of like 30 Seconds to Mars.
Why do you hate to admit it. 30 Seconds to Mars are really good, at least if you ask me! ^^
Anyway, I don't know much about Apocalypta. I really liked that 'Life burns' song though. ^^
Well, the best what I can say about them, that they have three (int he past four) cello and later they add to it drums and they are using only those instruments to make they music
And yes, Life Burns, very good song, again guest appearance Lauri from The Rasmus.
Well, 30StM is a band that really wants the listener to take them seriously. There are various borderline emo pop frontmen/women who could be considered endearingly silly (i.e. Gerard Way, Hayley Williams), but I can't fathom how it could ever be the case for Jared Leto.
I never much past here. My favorite thing to listen to is game music. Normally from the 8 and 16 bit type. But I also enjoy other newer ones every now and again. Though regardless, this has nothing to do with those:

Sometimes this just makes it funny, assuming the song is at least pleasing to listen to.
For example, I enjoy the ridiculously angsty lyrics of the latest Hollywood Undead album, and me knowing that these guys are "serious" just makes me laugh at some of the particularly angsty lyrics.
I just discovered that Yuridia makes an Aerosmith cover, her song "Como yo nadie te ha amado" it's a lyrics abomination of "This ain't a love song" Now i hate her more

I haven't heard too much from this band but I like most of what I've heard ("Airbrushed", "My Skateboard Will Go On", and "Rainbow in the Dark (Das Racist Remix)", didn't like the "Penpal" cover or your link.) I might grab Dawn Metropolis soon.
I like that they mostly avoid Parry Gripp-level pandering.

I am a major Otaku. Like, the only thing I can really thrive off of music wise, is either anime, or video games. Great music comes from either one!
Currently, I am listening to Shinsou - BlazBlue: Continuum Shift 2. This game isn't out yet, but it's already got some pretty awesome music! In any case, this is what I'm currently listening to. Enjoy!
Dio is really awesome. I need to listen to the band waaay more often. I'm sure I'd like them, but I've just never got into them enough. That song you linked, I loved in the very least.
Anyway, a friend of mine showed me this song months ago. I wonder what everyone else thinks of it. ^^
So far, aside from other big hits such as 'You're Not Alone', from FF9, or, 'Suteki da Ne' from FFX, this is by far in my opinion, one of the most powerful songs in the Final Fantasy franchise. It essentially describes the hardships we all bare from our sins from the past, whether they be ours, or from ancestors generations ago. You'll hafta follow along with the lyrics to fully get the gyst of what I mean. But again, really good song, and it just has that feel that pulls you in.
