OCs?

OCs?
Couldn’t quite find a topic for this outside of RPing threads, so here goes.
Y’all got any OCs you’d like to share? Ones you’re using in a roleplay, or others you don’t really use a lot?
Asking out of curiosity, and because I’m working on my own and kinda need some tips on how I’m supposed to put together a character of my own.
If there’s already a thread for this please lemme know.

That sounded better in my head

I’m currently at 25 characters, none used for role play.

Re: OCs?
I think its possible that you might have come up with more characters than me to be honest. XD
Re: OCs?
Anyway, I have no set method for coming up with them.
Maybe I’ll see an animal I like and decide to make a character of it.
Maybe I’ll have a role I want filled and decide on a fitting species.
Maybe I’m bored and think, why not?
Maybe someone else comes up with the species and I work from there. Maybe I’ll make a list of which of my characters fall into which category. But with how much overlap there could be, may be a vain effort.

Re: OCs?
Those actually are really smart ways to come up with a new OC. Instead of just coming up with one for the heck of it just because I feel the need to. I honestly could never do categories. I can't really focus on it.

Re: OCs?
I suppose I have a lot of ill-defined creatures in my music, but it's very unclear how many of them are different creatures, how many are just representations of myself, and how many might be the same set of characters
Did an RP with a discord writing group a few years ago that had a bunch of people transported to a post-apocalyptic future Australia, with some of them arriving in... different shapes than they'd been in before. And then discovering that back in their own time they were all going to die the next morning.
I had a character named Olive who got turned into a genet-cat by the time-travel (if anybody knows what that is-- the nonhuman characters were limited to a set of fairly obscure species in this setting) and was trying to come to terms with his new animal nature-- and particularly his small size-- while also being set on finding a way back to his old life that would avoid his predetermined demise.
The roleplay fizzled out a bit after a couple sessions, 'cause too many of us were on different continents to arrange good times-- there was even one person who was actually in Australia. XD But I think Olive's still my favourite actual character I've come up with. What with him being in a vulnerable place but still inquisitive and determined regardless.

Re: OCs?
I used to have a character called Stanley I used in fanfics. I fizzled him out over time but he's a part of a RP now.

Re: OCs?
Then it looks like he wasn't completely and utterly fizzled out then.
