Yeah, it's supposed to be spring, but it's still freezing wintery weather for me too. Had a couple of snow storms within the last month. I feel like this happens every year. :x

It just snowed a bit where I live, and by a bit I mean like two inches. There is still icy slush all around where I am.

Weather is crazy where I live, the past few weeks including today it's been in the 60's (Fahrenheit) and then it just snowed a few hours ago after being warm all day! Last year there was a horrible blizzard in the middle of summer on the day of my graduation too!
I thought about changing my signature but decided against it, it's too much work!

Of course .... Still, the image of kangaroos bouncing around in white fluffy snow drifts strikes me as rather beguiling.

I love the snow, but it's pretty much done snowing for the year. So it's just a matter of cold, not snowy.

Sooooo... anybody else migrate from Skype to Discord? I know I had some people here on the forum added on Skype, but it's been a looooong time since I've been on Skype and most of the groups I was in jumped ship for Discord since most of us play games and Discord is pretty well-tailored for gamers.

I don't use chat apps often, mostly because I lack a good mic. Also I have some security concerns with discord

there's actually a semiofficial Housepets discord.
but most of the old Skype users migrated to the official Telegram group since we mostly use text anyway

Ah, gotcha. I joined the Discord group. :3

Never heard of Telegram before, but maybe I'll give it a look-see since it'd be nice to talk to people more freely.

care to elaborate what these concerns are? I'm also interested in using discord since my roommate uses it too (as well, as Skype and Telegram). I also do not have a good mic, but i dont even use the mic at all because i'm too insecure about how I sound like.

So, I just stick to text :3

When I attempted to sign up for discord a while ago, the thing told me that any conversations I had would be recorded. I'm sure it's nothing, but it kind of creeped me out. I am going to try and sign up soon, though, enough of my weird paranoia :D

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're only referring to the fact that the system keeps the things you type in chat "recorded" so that you can go back through your chat log and find older posts you've made. It's not like they've got people reading through your PMs to see what dark secrets you're sharing with people. :P

It's always good to be aware of what information is stored by services you use, but as long as you're not sharing bank account info or other highly private stuff, I really don't think you've got much to worry about. Here's a link to their newest Privacy Policy (which was just updated very recently) if you wanna read up a bit on how they operate with that stuff: https://discordapp.com/privacy
