It'll be a little bit until it releases in the USA.

It's being handled weirdly, though. Nick and Judy are getting Disney Infinity toys two days before the release. And someone really messed up with the Disney Infinity game; pedestals exist for all toys and special expansion disks, even if you don't own it yet. Has a description for all of them.

...ONE DISK DESCRIPTION CONTAINS A SPOILER FOR THE MOVIE! So much so that in a game update, the description was patched out! You would think that they would be more careful with this kind of thing.

Think of it this way - the studio trusts your countries to not pirate their stuff enough to delay giving it to you for who knows why.

After 14 reviews, the movie has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 100%. That bodes well!

One thing that's been in the back of my mind is how weird the subject matter might be in this movie, ever since the teaser trailer had Nick Wilde walk onscreen without clothes, and then when a whole naturist group is presented in the trailer! I mean when's the last time a major wide release had anything to do with nudist colonies? I just think it's pretty daring, that's all. And of course they can get away with cartoon animals without clothes, because they're cartoon animals. Without clothes. We've seen that before. It's human nudity that the MPAA apparently has to stamp a big red R on.

Also some amusing voice cast news: the female sloth, Priscilla, is voiced by Kristen Bell. You know, she voiced Anna, the princess from Frozen who isn't Elsa.

Also also, there's a honey badger character named Dr. Madge in the movie voiced by actress Katie Lowes, who's been in 4 Disney Animations in a row now, just like Alan Tudyk. Here's a pic of her holding a sketch of the character!

Yeah, Disney really needs to rethink its marketing tactics. Only an idiot would release the book based on a movie that hasn't come out yet - book sales are usually a lot lower than movie ticket sales. I also know of someone who watched the whole movie online - evidently waiting to release a movie in one country doesn't decrease demand for pirated copies from another where it's been released.

My middle brother will be watching the movie, one week after its premier here next month. He is generally interested to watch the two main protag's dynamics on screen, but he is really put off by how... enthusiastic and hyped some people are with it. Especially since there will be furries who might be coming to the theatres in fursuits coming to watch it on the premier day. He is also put off by the 'naughtier' fan pics and spoilers that has been popping up in the internet, that he happened to stumble upon. He knew about me and my youngest brothet being furries and is generally okay with them, but he said that furries kinda spoiled the movie for him.

Me? Not that interested. Very few movies are interesting enough to overcome my... phobia of being in the cinemas, and Zootopia is not one of them. I like seeing the fanarts though, and the general excitement

Yeah, I intend to go and see it too but, sadly not in theater. That place really rips you off man, I mean I know theaters are stingy but, seriously, who sells a small mountain due for 12$? Yeesh.

Anyways, I think the drawing above represents the concept pretty well actually.

Yaknow I actually liked the 2D style of the concept art. Not to say the real movie isn't gorgeous.

Apparently some characters have as many as 9 million individually-animated hairs.
