You can talk about whatever you want in the chat thread as long as it doesn't take the place of an existing thread for more than a few posts. (Ex: You can still talk about video games here if the topic comes up, but if the conversation becomes too long or in-depth, we'll ask you to move it to the dedacated video game thread.) Other than that, just about anything goes.
