Ox also implies strength, which is a good quality to be associated with, I guess.

*comes back from Google* Chinese zodiac year for me was "wooden pig". No idea what that would mean, though... *goes back into Google to find that out* ...on the other hand, I'll do it when I'm less drowsy.
And huh, fun coincidence - the years' "animal" for me and my father are the same, just that element thing is different.

apparently, the Chinese zodiac gives w signs based on year, month(inner animal), day of the week(true animal), and time of day of your birth(secret animal).

so I'm a water monkey, an inner water pig, a true horse, and the last one's secret even to me.
