The meeting with my research group was very productive. We prepared the opening statement for our class panel discussion project. We're ahead of the game and I feel good.

Also, today I watched the series finale of Star Trek Enterprise, which wraps up my months-long marathon of the TNG era. Despite my initial doubt, it was a really fun show to watch. I even liked the finale. Ultimately the show is about the critical time in history when humanity boldly entered the galactic stage, and telling the finale through Riker's perspective via holodeck a whole 200 years later shows how Archer's time on the NX-01 was essential for making that future happen. But killing Trip is unforgivable.

No its just that I have to get up and I need sleep. Haircuts for me are fine. I just wanna make sure I don't fall asleep in the hairdresser's chair.

Anyway, just got back from getting my haircut and no I did not fall asleep in the hairdresser's chair. :P

Woke up early today. Going to head out and grab breakfast for a change, then go about my usual class day routine.

Gonna start majorly hoping that I will be able to access the website again itself soon. As of now, I can only post if I use a proxy.

Game jam!
For the uninitiated that's an event where you form teams of any number of people and compete to build a mini-videogame over a weekend. This is my first one, and I'm having a blast. Working on music and audio and ideas.

Ouch. I see some of the tools those dentists use on a daily basis, I don't envy anyone ending up on the business end.

I had a few cavities filled after they were drilled down and I have to say it really isn't THAT bad. But that's just me.

I've had that done a few times as well. I can't say I ever liked it.
I don't like to imagine what would happen if I needed something more intense.

My first therapy session is today. Even though it's just the first, I'm hoping that it's a productive session rather than centering on introductions and first impressions and what to talk about at future appointments. After that, I plan on buckling down and getting some work done on my classes when I get back home.

Now that the week's over I have time to clear up some space on my PC. One of my birthday gifts was a 4 TB external hard drive, which is more than enough to store all the junk files that have built up over the years that I don't want deleted. Though it'll take a while to transfer it all via USB, but what can you do? ;)

A little bit of recording. Spent nearly two hours on guitar, which is a good deal longer than usual. Just about one hour on the vocals to get all the takes I wanted.
Now I'm about two-thirds of the way through mixing it all together, and decided to give my ears a rest for a little while.

Robitussin sometimes works for me.
Went to a performance of Sondheim's "Assassins" last night - one of his less famous, less popular, and decidedly different musicals.

It seems to be getting better but then after it does it comes back and I have to repeat the whole process. Its not like I screwed up my sinuses this time either. I actually didn't use nasal spray.
