So anyone read the Celestia Micro yet? I thought it was really good even if Celestia was kind of a secondary character in her own comic a bit. However I think that really fit the character of Celestia very well and it did add a really cool battle to the shows past.(also its the first time anyone was permanently injured from anything, let alone a fight, and the first time we've seen blood)Along with some really nice secondary characters that I would like to see again. Bunch of references as well; Huey Dewy and Louie, Drake Mallard (a.k.a. Darkwing Duck) and Gosalyn, Gordon Ramsay, A lot of Harry Potter characters, and Uranus and Neptune (which completes the Sailor Senshi) ect. It showed a bit of how the School for Gifted Unicorns works and what Celestia does other then raise the Sun and stuff so I like that little bit of world building.

Over all it was really enjoyable read, one of the better ones for sure.

So issue 11 is out today and it was pretty dang funny especially the ending. Lots of D&D stuff in this one and it gives SA tons of Character Development and some for Cadence as well. Also in the background it strongly hints at that Twilight and Shining Armors Mom is the writer of the Daring Do Series. There are a few awards on the wall in her house, one of which say Author of the Year and another one that says Daring Do right under it. Then there is a picture of her with one of the awards around her neck. There is also the fact that her Blind Bag Card says that she 'Loves writing Adventure Stories' I accept this as canon until otherwise debunked. Also SA and his band rocked so hard they gave Vinyl Scratch her cutie mark. It also showed her Mom

Interview with Hasbro Executive Basically says a lot of good stuff about the show but one interesting line that EQD pointed out is that they "had very long meetings where we argue about things like what exactly might happen if a pony were to make fun of a Pegasus that can't fly" Which (along with the season 4 animation test thing) pretty much confirms what a lot of people thought about Scootaloo.

Things that I think are interesting here: Twilacorn didn't make them change their stories at all, Discord will show up in the comic soon,the Micros are ending and being replaced by another ongoing.

I read the first of the Shining Armor high school story and I really liked it! Although I find it hard to believe that he could let that jock pony push him around.

I did think that Shining Armor looked PERFECT dressed up like Adam Ant! That was a sweet band too. Keytar, synthesizer, drums and xylophone! WIth the exception of the last they could have gone for a Tangerine Dream or maybe even a Depeche Mode kind of sound. There are so many 80s movie references that it was hard to keep track but I am sure they were going for a "Revenge of the Nerds" thing with that. I recognized some of the other costumes as Devo and Culture Club but the last one I can't think of. But if you have seen enough old music videos then you might know it.

I am guessing that time and age between Equestria and the human world are not exactly 1 to 1.

Well I have a few that I thought were really good

1. 413 Mulberry Lane
2. The Haunting in Ponyville This one has a lot more comedy then the rest
3. Synchronicity
4. A Fleeting Light in the Darkness To this day I only have a vague idea of what really happened in this story
5. The Silent Shore

That's all the scary stories on my favorites list

I forgot to post a picture of my treasures that Hunter brought back for me from BronyCon!

The Hellboy/Derpy comic was great. It was only two more pages longer than what Mad Max posted on her DA account, plus two pin up pages, one of Derpy and Hellboy eating pancakes together and one done in Mike Mignola's art style of Nightmare Moon and Rasputin!

I am going to get a lady at work to sew my Derpy patch on my coat for me.

She showed me a fan comic about Discord when he was in school that was amazing! I just can't remember the name of the artist's or their website.

I went to the comic shop today and they had a new digest sized pony comic. It is called "The Magic Begins" and it is essentially a photo novel of the first episode. I think it is made up of stills from the show with word bubbles and sound effects photoshop'd into it. Its pretty neat. I have only seen one other comic like that and that was a failed "X-Men" pilot called "Pryde of the X-Men" turned into a comic by adding sound effects and dialogue to stills.

I duno Penwrite, it seems kind of... unfinished. Rushed. (Then again there seems to be a part that just skips right to the Sugarcube Corner...) Other than that, I love the concept. Just not enough scares for Braeburn yet. And he seems a little too scared right from the beginning. I think it would work out better if he was more curious and tried to stay rational the entire time. Just my $.02 though.

That's pretty much how I feel as well. I appreciate your thoughts. I'm expanding it right now, actually, adding in a sequence at the Carousel Boutique between the library and Sugarcube Corner.

I think I'll have this ready by Monday.

Has anyone else here seen the YT videos posted on a channel called "FOB Equestria"? They're a group of bronies who are also in the military.

Of particular note are "Military Bronies React to 'Teens React to My Little Pony'" and "Military Bronies React to Wonderbolt Academy" (which features an actual drill sergeant).
