Depends. I greatly enjoy reading, but personally hold a strong disdain for most types of fanfiction even though I fully understand that a number of authors I enjoy may have roots in fanfics.

With Cupcakes, it's a subject manner that will never be covered in Canon, or even touched on by Lauren or anyone with Studio B, so for people who enjoy such Grimdark stuff, I can see it's appeal. However I often wonder "Why with these characters?" when such stories could often be done with original creations just as well.

But then, fanwankery takes all forms and given that FiM has a large number of adults supporting it, I'm not shocked, anymore then I am by the rabid shipping.

The only appeal to be had, in my opinion, is the disturbing nature of Pinkie Pie staying completely in character the whole time (well, minus one key detail). Other than that, it's just idiotic gorn.

Rarely is it not. Is it any wonder that Lauren and Studio B do not look at fanfics? That kind of stuff can do nothing but make a author/artist shudder and withdraw from their fanbase.

Sorry man, but there's already been a fic like that. Well, I don't know the exact way the world ends, because I could never bring myself to reading something so horrifically dark and sad. But I do know there is a story that has the world ending, and that explores how the different characters act.

I've... actually never heard anyone state what princess Luna and princess Celestia are. Either that, or I just wasn't paying enough attention, and need to re-watch the first season. (since I've yet to watch even the first episode of the second season. >.<)

They're never called anything but ponies in the show, but "alicorn" is the term most used to refer to ponies with horns and wings.

why do people keep seeing debating who is best pony as something hateful and unfriendly? i see it as something totally fun and amusing! i even think its part of the fun of being bronies. ^^ i guess people think otherwise because you can't hear a persons tone of voice over the internet.

I actually have no opinion on best pony. they're all pretty good and "best" is a subjective term. purely opinion.

that being said, RD is favorite pony for me.
