This thread is specifically for anything you're currently doing or going to do for the holidays.

I'll start:
This year, my family won't celebrate Christmas, as there will be no money for the funds, presents, feast, etc. Sure, we'll have the Christmas lights on, but that's about it; my mom's sick in bed from surgery and my dad is making little money, so we'll be spending it just like another regular day, apparently. However, if my mom recovers by new years, we could probably go to one of our relatives' house to spend the new year's appearance there. If not, well, I got fireworks from the 4th of July, so I'll see what we will do at home. 'Tis a sad tale, but one's gotta live with what they have, for you never truly know what you have until you lose it...

I'm sorry to hear about that dalonewolf25 I hope everything gets better for you in the next year.

As for me I'm going to open some of my presents on Christmas Eve and spend time with my Dad then on Christmas Day I'm going over my Moms to eat Dinner and open some present there. Then New Years will be spent at home most likely I never do much for New Years.

I will be working Christmas Eve, but Christmas Day will be spent at my Grandparents' home. I will most likely spend it trying to avoid family, maybe out at the dock staring out on the lake if the weather is clear. It's not that I don't like my family, I love 'em, but I just don't fit in. If I stayed around them there would just be awkward silence or even more awkward conversations as I hedged all of their questions. They know little to nothing about me, but that's a different story. *shrug* I wish there was a shrug smilie for such thoughts.


I'll be working New Year's Eve and Day as well. What a wonderful time the holidays are.

Anyway topic wise: Since my parents are separated, I have presents from my Mom and Dad. I'm opening my dad's presents Christmas Eve, and my mom's Christmas Day.

Sorry to hear about your circumstances Dalonewolf. I hope your mom will recover soon and she will feel okay. Also I hope you'll spend next Christmas without any problems bothering you and your family.

At this rate will be a shame to say how my Christmas will look like. So I'll just say that I'll spend them with my family in our home in mountains. I just hope there will be some snow.

Sorry to hear that aswell. I never worked at any holidays so I don't how exactly you must feel, but I guess it must be nasty. Hope something will compensate it to you, like holidays in some sunny place or other things.

I'll be doing the same old confusing things. Since my parents are divorced...

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at my mum's house, and Boxing day at my dads. I'm not an outgoing person, and even if I was, nobody invited me anywhere. I'll be spending most of this time with my parents (Mum's a teacher, so has the same time off that I do. Dad's retired) and faimly.

Sorry to hear you guys without the most pleasant of times...I hope it's gonna be brilliant next year...

For me, I am just grateful for this break. I have never been a celebrating person in the first place.

My plans are somewhat changed. I've been loaned from my troubleshooting team to take internal questions on the Walton supervisor line so the greater balance of the program specialists' time can be devoted to escalations (customers demanding to speak with supervisors).

Well, I don't care much about Christmas because I don't like the consumistic aspect of it ( and neither the religious one 'cause I'm atheist ), but I'll still be passing it with my mother's family. Will stay with my father the New Year Eve.

We picked people for a gift exchange on Thanksgiving, and we're going to be giving out presents on Christmas Eve! I also am going to bake a crap-ton of cookies, and clean the heck out of my house!

I hope I get what I've really been wanting this year! A tablet for my computer!
