G'day guys!

I've been meaning to make this post, but I've been so lazy the past few days and I kinda forgot.

Anyway, I guess I'll start off by saying that my name is Jesse and I'm 19 years old. Middle name is James, since I was named after that famous outlaw. You know, the one in America? Killed people? Robbed banks and hijacked trains? Yeah I was named after him.

Thankfully though, I'm nothing like that guy. ;)

So let's see... I guess the main reason I'm here is because I absolutely love Housepets! My favourite character is King since he's just so muffins and cookies adorable.

My favourite comic is the one about the Kangaroo's in the Zoo pretending to be bogans.

As for my own personal interests, I love video games (especially from the fighting game genre, such as SSBB, MvC, TvC, Street Fighter etc), I like occasionally watching anime (nerdy, I know), I enjoy creating graphical art via computer (I suck at drawing irl, but I think I'm decent at it using the pen tool on the computer, although I've only ever drawn one thing and I still haven't finished it...), I enjoy listening to catchy music (Even J-pop, but my excuse is that I'm learning Japanese, so I want to "immerse" myself in the culture...).

On the topic of video games (they take over your life eventually ;__;), I currently own all 3 major consoles. I've owned pretty much every console from Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft except the PS2. Which is weird, considering almost everyone else has owned one. My favourite video game franchise of all time is The Legend of Zelda. They are just so magical, I could play them for eternity.

Currently hanging out so baaaaaaaaad for Skyward Sword.

I guess I should mention that I'm Australian (This means I spell certain words "wrong". Try to guess which ones. This is also why I love the comic about the Kangaroo's.), though I don't participate in any of the petty squabbles that Australian's and New Zealander's (mostly the Aussies stirring things up though...) have, since I'm half and half anyway. With a bit of Maori on the side. Unfortunately the Maori doesn't show through at all in physical looks, but rather it shows up as my vorocious appetite. Thankfully I was also blessed with their stupidly fast metabolisms, but still. ;__;

I like crossoints. I've also eaten snail. Admittingly the snail was hidden in a quiche, and it was only until after I'd eaten it the lady who baked it for me told me.

tvtropes has wasted more of my life than I care to admit, and so seeing actual tropes called my name in Mr. Griffin's comics makes me feel better.

I like MSN, but I don't like psychopathic stalkers. (I've had more than one.)

And... I think that's it. See you around on the forums. <3

Hi guys, I'm Rook, and I am a HUGE fan of this webcomic.

I'm sort of an amateur comic writer and LOVE Housepets. It's very refreshing to see clean comedic webcomics that don't have to be dirty to get a good laugh from. Anyways, I look forward to being apart of this forum and future projects involving FANART!!! *squeals with excitement*

Welcome, Rook! :D

Glad we agree on that--too few media nowadays seem to remember that you don't need to be vulgar or crass, or sadistic or hedonistic, to be funny. They used to be funny without EVER resorting to that, and it's not even unexpected anymore, so it doesn't even work on that level.

Hope to see some of your work sometime! :D
