They always say they'll grant you whatever you want, Steward. Just remember, they're like pawn shops; they undervalue your soul.

Immortals always seem to forget that time is a finite resource for a mortal.

“You only want what you want” you’re one to talk Eudant... also, saw Tenet a few days ago. Linear timeline is the way to go, otherwise is waaay too confusing for our linear minds
Re: 2021/03/05 - The Ultimate Question
Or they know it all to well. Mortals need to make every second count.

What I want is what I want
but power doesn’t work in a void;
giving me means at the Earth’s cost
will, I swear, leave me quite annoyed.
How dare you talk of my ego
and the fact that I’m impatient
as you talk of destroying worlds
and ten billion souls abatement?
I won’t look worried at this new turn;
I know how to handle the obscene.
Keep a smile whilst you plot your plan.
Hey, it always worked on Keene.

Eudoant - Master of Empathy. She does have a talent for getting to the heart of darkness, though, even if she doesn't have a heart of her own.

Re: 2021/03/05 - The Ultimate Question
With Steward asking about super powers, I am reminded of the opening lines from the Lordi song 'Devil Is A Loser':
You wanted power and you begged for fame you wanted everything the easy way
You wanted gain without pain now your bill's in the mail
You got stronger but your mind got weak you made a promise you couldn't keep
You had it all you lost more it's all there in the fee
Basically? Part 3 of this arc, from what I can tell, is gonna be the downfall of Steward, in more ways then one.

Kinda off topic, but, what did make Trinket ditch the Skunk for the Badger anyways?
Re: 2021/03/05 - The Ultimate Question
Well, he did have a very tempting shiney on him, but yeah, would be interesting to hear her side of this

Re: 2021/03/05 - The Ultimate Question
I wanna believe there's some decency left in her to leave the Badger already. She really doesn't seem like the type for total power, unless it's really shiny.
Re: 2021/03/05 - The Ultimate Question
Trinket craves adventure along with shinies, mebbee?
Re: 2021/03/05 - The Ultimate Question
I do like trinket's expression, though. I think she instinctively knows something we don't

Re: 2021/03/05 - The Ultimate Question
She has been depicted, to me, as being the far more skeptical of the two. She's not out for revenge. She likely has a far more base motive. Steward likely promised her shines. She doesn't seem to have a revenge motive.
She has been the slightly more skeptical one since the dino deamon showed up, I doubt that she really knows any more than Steward, but I think she'll be on her way given the chance.
Not sure how it applies to Housepets, but birds are pretty risk averse. I have a pair of them at home and they are very skeptical of new things. Euodant is very new to her.

Re: 2021/03/05 - The Ultimate Question
Oops, Eudoant, you almost spoiled your real plan to Steward and Trinket... They don't need to worry about that? They're always mortals who are going to suffer because of your ultimate plan, which is to strip all mortals on Earth... But, if the superpower you're going to give them as reward to have helped you is the immortality, then they're safe, also if to me a such thing sounds too much prize to give. Yeah, Eudoant, Steward is like challenging you to see if you'll really give him the promised powers, this despite the fear of the harm you could do against him... It's like he hasn't nothing more to lose. Eh, you have to keep it in mind: time flowing and impatience rule mortals.

Just a little tip Eudoant but most mortals on Earth don’t want to hear you wax poetic about what they want to do and they just want to get to doing it so you should probably stop wasting time.

Re: 2021/03/05 - The Ultimate Question
I think this could be a big ending but I'm reminded of that quote from "Star Trek": "Either we're going down or they are." I think Stewart will be defeated but I think there could be some drama as to "at what cost?" They won't destroy the world but this fight could legitimately leave Babylon Gardens and its community with some permanent scars.
There's some legitimate stakes, will Marion and Lois get back what they have lost or perhaps be forced to sacrifice any chance of doing so to save everyone else from sharing their fate? And Todd sure seems to be in the process of being set up for something but what? Is he ready to rise up as a hero...or a traitor?

Steward on the other hand has a lot to lose still but he will risk it all to destroy Keene.
Re: 2021/03/05 - The Ultimate Question
Eudoant, yes time for mortals is in a line,
And please try to learn that that's just fine
But being stuck in it makes them greedy,
Feisty, vile, power-needy.
So what is Eudoant's master plan?
To corrupt, of course, the badgerman,
And then at the end, upon him shower
Seeds of greed, corrupting power.

You're a wonderful person! You can do this! Yes, you, person reading this!

I just had a random question which I was hoping to have answered by someone who might know. HOW do you punish a demon who already lives in the world's equivalent of Hell?

Can't really punish, per say, but you can destroy (if DOOM taught me anything).Amazee Dayzee wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 1:18 am I just had a random question which I was hoping to have answered by someone who might know. HOW do you punish a demon who already lives in the world's equivalent of Hell?

I don't think punishment is the issue, it's confinement. The goal doesn't (so far) seem to be to wipe out Euodent, but to lock them back in heck.Amazee Dayzee wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 1:18 am I just had a random question which I was hoping to have answered by someone who might know. Re: 2021/03/05 - The Ultimate Question
I honestly just figured there would be some sort of punishment in order to make sure something like this NEVER happened again.
