Rick's non-comic Housepets art
Re: Rick's non-comic Housepets art
Grape just loves dressing up in manly roles x3
Funny thing is, when i first saw the stream, i thought Maxwell was going to be Leon from RE4.

Hmmmm… is Eudoant is "Heaven" or Rufus is Pandemonium or where do they keep the baths at the cosmic level?Amazee Dayzee wrote:So you mean he won't be presenting him a CHICKEN? Because all chicken in heaven are dead.

Rick Griffin's twitter was fairly clear they were playing Resident Evil, so not exactly family friendly.Amazee Dayzee wrote:I really like how Grape is dressed like Leon and Maxwell is dressed as Claire from Resident Evil while playing a game that's probably family friendly. I think Max is rocking that red leather jacket.

I thought they just dressed up as them and were playing something else. Oh well. Hope Max doesn't get nightmares. XD
Also, was it Rick or Fen that recolored Max's vest to Claire's red leather jacket? I was the one who pointed out that was what she wore and then Fen posted this in the Telegram.

I'm certainly glad that someone has taken my observation into account and din't just write me off as being a nit-picky tool.

I do have to say I like the strips that have the orange, brown and yellow hues on them! Those are nice!

A tip for coloring, to avoid the little white "halos" around lines:
After loading the image into the program of your choice (I'm using Photoshop Elements 10 here), you'll probably see it as a single layer named "Background" or similar name. Copy the layer, name the copy something like "Lines", and set the mode of the copy to Multiply.
Then, on the original layer, you can apply color and it will go "under" the lines.
Example: (left is using Magic Wand to select, right is using the copy-and-Multiply method)

Nice work, Otookee. I'm guessing that's not Roosevelt......

Adrian from A&H Club.
Re: Rick's non-comic Housepets art
Yes, it's an old sketch of Rick's from back before he'd given Adrian a name.
Re: Rick's non-comic Housepets art
Ah, missed that one (I miss a lot). Thangs.

I don't really follow anything else of Rick's because I never have time to do anything so I'm content with him throwing shoutouts to his other series in the comic.

Re: Rick's non-comic Housepets art
I'm using procreate and there is no "multiply" option or understood any of that. I actually don't know how layers work which is why I'm not an artist. I know how to color and draw a line. That is the limit of knowledge of how to use the app.Otookee wrote:A tip for coloring, to avoid the little white "halos" around lines:

Looks terrific, fen! (Green eyes are so enchanting......)
Re: Rick's non-comic Housepets art
I hope that I could commission a ref for my Housepets characters Jack and Queen. (The Fourth and Fifth pups of King and Bailey.) Just wondering if Rick is open to commissions at some point.

Can't say that I'm sure but maybe it would be better to ask Rick's person sqrl overlord about it (Diss).

Hey-hey! Rick doesn't really take commissions anymore, but if you pledge $10/month on Patreon, you can request/recommend things for him to sketch each month. Not every request is fulfilled, and you typically have a greater chance if your idea includes things Rick likes (and fits the monthly theme he's chosen).

Off the subject, that's a seriously cute Keene doll Eudoant's holding. Have the conveyor belts in Pandemonium switched from forging chains to making stuffties?

I'm thinking that he might have forced someone to make it for him because he misses snuggling with Keene even though he only did it once. LOL
Re: Rick's non-comic Housepets art
Aye, Rick does these if you sign up for Patreon $10 a month. That's how i get mine :3

Breel sure got addicted to snuggling Keene pretty fast - why not Eudoant?

I think that its only natural that Breel was one that got enamored with snuggling with Breel real quick since they are boyfriends who spend a LOT of snuggling time with each other.

I meant when they finally became boyfriends and started snuggling Breel really got into it.

Very true … although Breel did seem kinda flirty right off the bat. Celestial intuition, mebbee?Dissension wrote:Keene and Breel weren't boyfriends at first~

I thought it was because Breel was attracted to Keene which is good because he wouldn't know that Keene was rich so nobody could accuse him of being a gold digger.
