Once you upgrade from being a mod to a global mod, you get an upgrade in the snacks in the staff lounge. Instead of wafer cookies, you get soft-baked chocolate chip.

Why isn't Macsen a mod anymore?

I would assume that it is because Macsen (who I originally knew as Kitch when I was here the first time around) doesn't come here anymore and isn't all that active so they just demodded him. But don't take my word as gospel as this is just a guess.

This. Macsen actually initiated the whole thing by telling us he wanted to step down for his own personal reasons without us having asked or said anything to him to initiate. We wouldn't have minded him staying on but it was his decision and we respect that. Amazee, we would appreciate if you didn't make insinuations or accusations without knowing the situation because that can be very hurtful.

So, please, no one think any less of Macsen. I can promise you he wasn't fired, he simply stepped down, as I said, for personal reasons. Actually firing a mod is basically unheard of and is only done in extreme circumstances and with very good reason. (Yes, it has happened, no, you won't get any details, so don't ask.)

We wish Macsen all the best wherever he ends up and thank him for all his hard work over the years! He'll always be welcome around the forums!

It's a wise person who knows when it's time to put something down no matter how long they've done the task, how good they are at it, or how valued they're role may be at the time. Everything has its term and there's little worse in life then having something you once enjoyed turn sour and burdensome. Quitting is not always an act of desertion. Sometimes, it's a kind of integrity.

I do really wish that we can see Macsen around here more on the forum. I really liked him and his posts. Also I thought that his fursona was totally adorable. <3
