I'm working on a full animated short, actually.

Thank you! :D :oops: Also to note: the vintage effect was done not only as a stylistic choice, but also to hide some animaton errors I didn't catch till editing!

The way I did the animatons was by drawing the characters in my paint program transparently, coloring them in later, and used a mix of photographs, different filters and drawings for the backgrounds. (In some cases, the background was all green+blue, and I'd fill it in during editing using Chromakey) To shade, I drew over everything with black, before switching the opacity of that layer to around 30ish percent, and edited it together in my editing program (Inshot Pro).
