Years ago, I was sitting around a table with about eight other faculty members. The subject was tedious and boring, the discussion interminable, and company almost as stuffy as the room. Not sure what prompted an off-topic reference to Scandinavia but - in a dim and unthinking moment - that prompted me to throw out a bad imitation of the Swedish Chef.

Well, that little unexpected performance caused two seconds of WTF silence and then the meeting just erupted into uncontrollable guffaws. Once we got our collective composures back, we're all talking about the Muppet show, our favorite characters, doing imitations, we all just came unglued.

God bless you, Jim Hensen.

What's really depressing is that his death was preventable since it was from a bacterial infection that could have been treated had he chose to go to the hospital earlier. A true tragedy. Not to mention he left us before my lifetime (and at least with Bob Ross I was 3 when he died)

An invisible trend in the game - players who beg to be killed only to have their grisly quest denied.

Well it is now about time that we started to get some more deaths in! I thought that the game was slacking and we wouldn't have anymore of the animals going for each other. I'm just so glad I was wrong.

Steward – Drowned by Cory
Terrence – Stabbed by Pete
Dallas – Broken neck after a fall out of a tree
Kitsune – Crushed when Dallas fell on him
Mungo – Strangled by Lester
Tiger – Burned alive by Sasha
Spot (Superdog) – Poisoned with manchineel apples by Jasper
Res – Stabbed by Karishad
Duke – Skull fracture after a fall out of a tree
Concord – Electrocuted when trying to get around the electrified force field of the arena
Karishad – Suicide by slitting his wrists
Sasha – Suicide by throwing herself into a pond
Delusional Steve – Internal injuries from an explosion set off by Long Lost Cousin Aran
Fox – Crushed by debris that collapsed on him as the result of an explosion set off by Long Lost Cousin Aran
Zach – Impaled by debris as the result of an explosion set off by Long Lost Cousin Aran

Just saying that they all ended up getting blown to smithereens would kind of be boring honestly.

If you replaced "transforms" with "evolves" or "digivolves" then that would make that statement more amusing. LOL

The wolves construct shelters like the smart people they are, and Marion picks flowers for Lois :D

Image
Lots of happenings, none of which have any significance

Image
Well here's how I see it. Lester can't bring himself to kill Joey, and he knows if he kills Jack he'll have the entire wolfpack on him. To be honest I would've just had all three of them attack Cory together but then that wouldn't be as dramatic :P

You would have thought with how methodical and braggadocios Lester is about liking things that are better because he is more cultured he would have been a bit smarter too. Go to Jack, tell him what Cory wants him to do and then Lester, Jack and the whole wolf pack would be after Cory. That would have solved one problem and Lester I'm sure would have an alliance with the wolf pack. Oh well, kind of too late now. Especially since Cory just smashed Lester's skull. Cory has no weapons and was last seen near his fire so I'm assuming the weapon was a charred log.

Steward – Drowned by Cory
Terrence – Stabbed by Pete
Dallas – Broken neck after a fall out of a tree
Kitsune – Crushed when Dallas fell on him
Mungo – Strangled by Lester

Fox – Crushed by debris that collapsed on him as the result of an explosion set off by Long Lost Cousin Aran
Zach – Impaled by debris as the result of an explosion set off by Long Lost Cousin Aran
Lester – Bludgeoned with a log used in a fire by Cory

I'm pretty sure Cory wouldn't use his stench to kill somebody since it is unique and can end up leading back to HIM and making him a target.

True. I'm not sure thought processes factor in most of Cory's behavior, including most of his schemes.

The most notable death is Concord here. Anyone wanna hear a mid-game interview with him? I'll try to find him. He seems to have vanished shortly afterwards.

Image
Also a note, both defending champs got knocked out! That means that no matter what, there will be a new winner!

Definitely talk to Concord. Seems like he went through a lot to get in just to essentially rage quit. Wonder if something happened behind the scenes?

In that respect he is just like Bino then it looks like except I think he has it WORSE because Bino is actually a pet so he might get more leeway from humans who don't know anything about him.

If that happens, Cory will either be the first one to be taken hostage and derail the whole plan or he will try to double-cross the group.

First 3 districts are down to 50% strength. Sasha shouldn't have broken her pacifist ways!

Image
Maybe Concord wasn't the best replacement for Grape...

Image
I'm rooting for this district. Marvin and Chauncey could make a great duo!

Image
The wolves are stepping up their game, at least by living longer than 1 day :D

Image
Joey and his friend Joey the Cat are still together. Frankly I should ask how they know each other. Something about them seems eerily similar...

Image
District 9 is doing great (much to pretty much everyone's dismay), and Aran, the newbie, is killing it out there!

Image
District 12 lost its best fighter, they'll have to rely on Jasper's squash and stretch to carry them :)

So! I wanna see some predictions! Based on who's left, who will win the third annual hunger games? It has to be someone new, and at this point I give everyone a solid chance of winning!

It could actually be anybody if we are being honest because the tide could end up turning in an instant and the front runner get's knocked out by a bad performance. Sort of like on Hell's Kitchen. Based on who the strongest is right now, my money is on the ferret cousin Aran.
