Maxina? Sounds like the parody of the Nissan Maxima. xD.
I'm talking about Maxwell/Sabrina :3

Just in case you didn't get the pun, I figured that was Max and Sabrina. :3 XD

I'd be very interested in knowing what that Korean strip says. I think it has something to do with smoking in a park, but that is pure speculation on my part.

I think knowing what it says would detract from how completely random it is for me

I mean, for all we know, it could make just as little sense in English. It's when we assume it makes perfect sense in context yet when we look at it it's completely insane that it becomes so funny.
I was going to make a joke but then I did.

Oh no it makes total sense in English. It only seems like it doesn't

But what I'm saying is that it could make no sense and we would have no way of knowing without someone to translate. We seem to kind of just assume it does.

Remember when I said I wasn't going to do anymore human versions of the housepets characters? Well, as it turns out I lied. I'm sure this might come as a surprise to all but one of you (you know who you are.)

Besides, we can't exactly have Grape without Peanut right?

I spent a little more time on this one than I should have, which allowed me to lavish on the details a bit. I have a bigger version here too, something I learned I needed to do from the last one. Though sadly I don't have a bigger version of the Grape one.

I also have a few rough sketches of other characters but I need to clean it up first

That is so awesome.

It's a little weird how Peanut's wearing normal clothes while Grape's wearing that sweet kitty hoodie, but that's a very small concern. It's great how it is.

Like Ebly said it was easier to design the sweater for Grape that encompassed more distinguishing references to her cat counterpart because she was a girl. With peanut I just couldn't find any way of adding the bone or something tying to dog characteristics without it looking weird or tacky, and since I don't know much about designing clothes it made all the more difficult. So instead I just went with more of a Charlie Brown influence (which doesn't feel as clever now as it did before) hence the stripes and black pants.

I know this webcomic isn't primarily focused on humans, but I still had fun with it; it puts me more in my element of comfort.

awesome take on Peanut and grape. The charlie brown influence is strong in that one. It fits though.

I, for one, think they're cute.

Tracy Butler did a similar thing to her own own characters. I always thought it was neat to see how anthropomorphs can translate to humans. If you can recognize who the characters are supposed to be just from their human version, it's a testament of good character design, since it shows that their species and fur color are not the only defining traits of the character's appearance.

No, it's fine I know you didn't mean it that way. Sorry, I was in a bit of a sour mood this morning >_>'

@Sleet: Yes, I really like anthro-human translations too. I forgot about those one that Tracy did but those are indeed some great examples of superb translations.

Also thanks guys :D
