Normally releasing performance enhancing chemicals into the brain and body to improve function would be a Pseudo power. However, because the chemicals also apparently impact Kolt's luck, that might push it into True Power territory.

Just a heads up, it might be a few days before I post. This the busiest time of year where I work, so I’m not going to have a lot of time or energy to write. I’ll try to just write small chunks whenever I get the chance, but it’s still probably not going to be until at least Thursday.

Sorry it took me so long to post guys. I had surgery to FINALLY deal with my ingrown toenails on Monday, and that combined with work left me feeling a bit too tired to write for most of this week.

Yeah, this whole thing has been a mess. My severe needle phobia means I need oral anesthesia in order to get a needle in me to start the surgery, and it’s taken almost two years to find a hospital that does oral anesthesia and takes my insurance. Fortunately, one of the hospitals decided to change their policy against oral anesthesia, though the reasons behind the change aren’t so pleasant. According to the doctor that helped us finally set up an appointment, a patient with needle phobia wound up flipping out and, and these were her exact words, “body slammed a nurse,” because even the good news has to come with a caveat.

And so ends two Hopeless Boss Fights, Titan and Ko Sah. One meant to teach a lesson, and one meant to foreshadow things to come. Both of which our characters had absolutely no chance of winning.
On an unrelated note, this is what I imagine playing as Diligitus acts like a massive drama queen.

It’s not the sleeping that’s dangerous, it’s just that if he spends too much time in your head, he starts to fuse with it. That was fine for his creators, since they intended him to be a nonsapient steroid alternative, but since he wound up a living, thinking being, that’s rather problematic.

Pretty much. I do have a much BIGGER backstory for him that I still need to work out that explains why he is the way he is (along with where he got the Other Side of himself from and how he is immortal in a way), hence why his Other Side is his Voice Of Reason.

EDIT: Added some dialogue to my last post from the perspective of his Other Side.

So... I didn't really want to talk about it here... but I feel I need to tell you guys.

My Grandma passed last Sunday in her sleep. It was sudden, but not too surprising. She had been sick for a while, and hospital visits were becoming more frequent.

I'm going to be flying out to California in a week to attend the funeral. I likely will need plenty of time next Wednesday to pack and prepare, so my Wednesday update will be on Tuesday instead. The funeral service is Saturday, so I won't be writing an update then. I don't know if I will be writing the following Wednesday either.

I'll be sure to keep you guys updated.

Powers:
Ralph has 2 powers: Shift and Permeation.
Shift allows him to "shift" from one place to another. Almost like teleportation, but with two restriction. The first is that he has to touch an object heavier than him. While the second he has to able to see the destination.
Permeation, as the name suggests, allows him to pass through objects and living beings. This ability takes alot of mana and can only be done 4 to 5 times a day and he rarely uses it. This is because being allowed to pass through anything feels like he is falling into a pitch black void.

Weakness:

Appearance:
Ralph is a corgi around 5'. He has a small body specialized in traversing through rough terrain in his earth. He has a "red" coat, just white under belly and brown/tan at the back. He wears leather armor and pants for more spacious movements. He also has two artifacts with him. Boots specialized to increase movements and erase sound from footsteps and gloves specialize to increase his overall strength especially his grip.

Personality:
He is very curious of his world. It is why he started adventuring in the first place. To know more of what the world holds. He is usually out alone adventuring because people stay away from him. Being small comes at the cost of people thinking you are weak. When he is in town, he likes to go and teach newbies the do's and dont's of being an adventurer. Usually, he watches the newbies in their first couple of quest, helping if they encounter any trouble.

Other notes:
He lives in a version of the earth where magic and monsters exist. He likes to observe people and monsters. He can also hide his presence really well. He got transported to the Beacon through accidentally activating an artifact and decided to stay because he wants to know more of this "new" world.

Have you thought about how you're going to introduce yourself? Have you read the past 5 or so pages to make sure you're on the same page as others?

There are frequently references to events in earlier days, so if you don't understand something, feel free to ask.

Finally, for everyone else, I realize that I used to have a rule that I wouldn't admit anyone who hadn't already played in another game. However, BoH has slowed down a lot since then, and we've lost a few players. As such, I'm lifting it for now, at least until activity picks up again.

One bit of advice I’d give is to never be afraid to have bad things happen to your characters. Say, if a supervillain throws your character hard enough to embed them in a wall, it’s better to have him struggle with getting out for a turn than to have him immediately escape and counter with a super special ultra attack that will totally beat the bad guy with one hit. The former makes your character seem more human and alive, the latter makes your character seem like a Mary Sue who never does anything wrong.

Also, let's face it, serious injuries are more like a temporary inconvenience in this game most of the time. Players basically get refreshed at the end of each mission. So nobody should worry about slipping up and having their character get hurt.

Im not really sure how I can join the story yet. Yes, I have read the past 5 pages. I had a hard time making sense of who's talking with who. But I think I got the gist of it. So there's a group who met a hand of god. There's another investigating a cave system. Another had a spar and now meeting up. Another one is having lunch(?). That's all that I got.

So most of the team is on the planet known as Celica. It's a planet who's native inhabitents are fox-like technologically advanced hunters. The main team are at a hotel in a Celican town and just had a fight with an extra-dimensional body snatcher.

MT-694, a dragon-shaped war mech, is talking to his pilot, Chris. Kolt and Tatiana are nearby. Gadgeteer and Jenny are talking in the parking lot just a little bit further away. Hivemind is talking to Ulrich, also in the parking lot.

The rest of the group is on the Beacon. There's a group consisting of Lewis, Liz, Corp, the border collie brothers, Sarah, Colorado, Seena, and Hivemind are at Seena and Colorado's house.

There's a group consisting of Hannabelle, Gear, Lycan, Eira, Genevieve, Corvis, and Golten at a restaurant waiting to be served.

Hawk and "Other Side" are in the Champion Tower Courtyard about to try to talk with Titan.
