Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.
Do not try and find the pool. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth. There is no pool. Then you'll see, that it is not the pool that is found, it is only yourself.
okay okay, i'm done no more pool nonsense from me.

Easy. Down boy.
For some reason I automatically pictured Rig's house as a lot more medieval. Which I guess fits with his character.
This is adorably correct. It's not necessarily medieval, but it's not as tiled, plastic siding, etc. It's more stone walls and wooden floors with exposed roof crossbeams to create that mood. Something you might see more in the mountains or a forest. If it helps set the mood, this is what I've been listening to and a host of other things.

QUIET HORUS!
shees right though may i ask whats going on?
Rig is making a glo- "I AM MAKING A GLORIOUS FEAST FOR MY NEW FRIENDS! It will commemorate this day in food and drink! Ha ha~!"
Just a heads up, unless someone else notices first, Rig will probably notice this Fox and invite them for food. Feasts are an excellent ground for being overly friendly.
Probably soda. If it has the same effect as it does in the HP! universe then it is probably soda. If it doesn't have the same effect? Probably soda. I figured there was a limit to how "viking" I could make this and somehow I feel like nobody else would drink if it was hearty mead or ale.
You know it's funny, I didn't expect the carnivores to enjoy the brocolli pizza so much.
I was half tempted to see how much Noah could drink. But I would rather not have rich parents breathing down my neck demanding to know why their pet came home, absolutely soda-wasted, in the arms of a wolf.

When you're like Sandy and haven't eaten anything in three days and haven't had a properly cooked meal in three years then anything tastes good, Deske!
Sandy's had his fair share of soda on the road so he'll be used to it.
Wasn't it only orange soda that made pets drunk though? I didn't think it was all sodas...

They'd probably stare for a moment, then take Noah up to his room and ask him what happened when he sobered up.
They aren't the sue happy type. They're more the be nice type.
Play The Hayseed Knight. This isn’t self promotion, I just really like the game.

I think Rig can relate to being used to it. After a few hundred years your tolerance tends to become godly...

Well, the Cream soda drinkers are fine.

I'm tempted to step up my game and bring out mead, I would rather not deal with drunkenness of that caliber from Noah and Sandy. I feel like the others could handle it, but Noah is new and I don't want him vomitting on my floors.
Only a few of them actually drank cream soda. Then someone was just like, "Nah, let's get drunk." So I just said, "Ok," and went along with it. But now that these lightweights are done drinking themselves into a carbonated oblivion, the temptation see how Sandy the Dog and pretty much everyone but Noah and Sandy the Chinchilla make of this is tempting. Rigs a big guy, I'm sure he can haul up a barrel. He likes a good drink but he worries about people as well. Like how Noah was basically hammered after the equivalent of a 2 liter of soda. But if they decide to sneak some politely ask, maybe he'll let them get ever so slightly more slammed.
The number of words that deal with blunt force but also can "Drunk" is amazing.
you know, since he's from before the invention of polymer resins, and that's an extremely difficult if not impossible shape to make using glass.

I made some icons! Retlaw took longer than Yensid did, I think. There was a big gap between the making of both. This is a pun but at the same time it's not. I hope they came out ok. I screwed up Yensids cloak and Retlaws eyes, but no matter.

nothing against you Mics, but those two were more tolerable when i could easily forget what they looked like.
One thing about having taken an animation course: certain studios gets referenced by the teachers and hammered into your head to the point that you either love, or absolutely despise, them and their creations by the end. i fall under the latter.

But that's because I don't like them in the Housepets style. These two are easier to role-play when I imagine them in Disney's style. It's more cartoony and fitting. Seeing them in a Housepets style is just weird and it just reminds of how weird they look.

Civil and Mr. Brent characters are out together. Neon, Welsh, Deske, Buster, Mr. Roo, and I, are all at Deskes characters house.

I don't think I've ever hated a mutual game of godmodding. It's not conducive to the story really and we're playing with paint. You can't tell me that it doesn't look cool in your imagination. A whole bunch of small paint figures having over the top Michael Bay fights. Obviously if Hotep asks us to stop we stop, but I feel it's okay in a "between the action" situation such as this.
I mean but Rig's a Viking. Do you really think that deep down his instinct is to retreat when he still has cards left?
i actually want to thank you guys for modderating your own posts while im away. and from the sound of it it does sound a bit too much like godmodding. as such i will ask for now to tone down the posts. this way i can catch up and return to the groove as GM
Does anyone mind if I use pet years to describe our characters age in my next post?
