So are you guys still talking the isekai thing? I want a try at it if so. I’ll just port over Rudder from Richmond Acres if so... heh, be kinda befitting of an isekai

from what ive pieced together, i have no idea what happened to that.
i can't find it anywhere outside of my notes, which has me convinced it didn't actually get shot down...

it wouldn't be the first time i was certain i posted something that never actually went up...

basically, a magic academy that had previously been kinda uptight about who can get in opens it's doors to outsiders. which includes folks from other worlds. the world is medieval with all the pros and cons that come along with, save for spellwork adding several conveniences that are straight out of a fantasy rpg.

i actually re-used a lot of it when designing rua...
or i guess i thought i re-used it...
apparently it was actually it's first run.
whoops.

well, in any cases it's literally been years since i did anything with any of this stuff, so i'd likely need to redo the pitch and run it by Serence Frostbite again anyway.

well, one of them anyway.

So HousepetZ: Survivors United? Decided to re-work and tweak it to be less depressing and a bit more fun and energetic :) New version will probably be ready by Sunday, give or take.

It was a combined effort. I think we found a good middle ground between desperate and hopeful. Fun and serious. I feel it's a solid zombie RP.

I've been going kind of crazy lately, so that's why I'm around again XP

First of all I'm woundeirng if I should join an rp, which one, and if I should rejoin one with my old charecters...

But mostly I'm woundering, did anyone ever try to make an RP out of Universes and Unrealities? It's such an amazing concept I kind of think it would be neat to try implimenting it more into an rp but idk...

Sorry for the double post.

there are a few RP arcs from various RPs that dabbled into that stuff, and one of Buster's RP is specifically set in a place between dimensions, but i don't think there has been any RPs centered around that.

I'm tempted to try it because it'd give me an exuse to keep up with Housepets, as well as being interesting. Only problem is that would actualy require figuring the mechanics of Univerces and Unrealities.

Just a heads-up, everyone:

On Monday 27th May (my time) I'm flying to the Gold Coast for a much-needed, week-long holiday! At the end of said week I'll be attending FurDU, Australia's largest furry convention! I'll try to check the forums and get up a post or two at night but I can't promise anything. That said, I'll definitely be available if you need me for emergencies - just poke Serence or Render and they can text me! Or, you can hit me up on Twitter or Telegram - just search for Furrhan!

I apologise in advance for any and all delays in responding this coming week and look forward to seeing you all on the other side when I'll hopefully be feeling much refreshed!

I'm thinking about rejoining one of the groups that isn't new and trying to get more of a reason to be around. What groups are the most active? I wanna not drop off the face of the earth this time ^^

Also I'm considering trying to do an RP where each person acts in a position like Pete and Dragon, which would obviously have to have alot of rules to make it actualy fun, so I'm going to be thinking about that.

Hey, I know this is somewhat out of the blue but... I'm considering re-doing one of my old RP concepts.

Now Fate, Animalia was a good idea but few people knew the sourse material so that didn't work but I was thinking something else.

Phanerozoic Park, I almost got it off the ground and then I got too much pushback and I didn't feel confident enough as a GM to run it. So I've decided to turn it upside down. Instead of anything it was before, this time it'll be what I intended it to be in the first place: An HPU game for extinct species charecters.

I... don't remember the rules for setting up an OOC but I would like at least some feedback to know if anyone would be interested before starting it.

I feel like with HousepetZ and other recent additions it'll feel less out of place.

So, who would play in a new Jurasic park inspired game?

(I'm thinking of using Cenozoic in the name this time, as a reference to the age of Mammels, which we still live in to this day.

Cenozoic Park, Cenozoic Acres, Cenozoic Ridge, Cenozoic Heights...)

This is an easy choice for me because I only have one character, but even if I didn't my answer would probably still be Trent since he's stupid powerful (well, at least has the potential to be).

"All mammals, reptiles and birds" are intelligent (however, "most animals would have very weird ideas of how the world works--though given what I've done to them, they're not exactly ill-founded)" and "only pawwed mammals are bipedal" (the rest have the morphology they do in the real world). The closest thing I can think of for information on dinosaurs would be the story about cats getting domesticated, but I think that's too far removed to be relevant. I suggest paying dinosaurs like modern reptiles, ie quadrupedal (except for stuff like the T-Rex) and with the intelligence of a housepet.

This is pretty random, but I just realised I've been in this fourm for three years, too the month and only a week or two after theday. Ironicaly that's around when I came back this year.

Neat.

Also, thank you Camp, that was useful. I'm going to be insisting that dinosaurs be like thier bird decendants and stick to bipedal but feral forms. Won't be too hard.

Um, this is awkward for me to write, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to keep up rp for the next few months, including the one I'm a GM in. Work at Camp is gonna keep me very busy, and the only times I can see myself able to be on long enough to give decent replies are late for me, so wanting to make sure people know not to wait up on me. Maybe later on I can get back into them, heck I still want to add to them, but for now its not a good option for me. Hopefully nobody is put in a bad spot by me saying this, everyone's been great here so I hope sometime in the future I can come back. Will try to still come by the forum on occasion at least to comment on the comics, so hope you guys that check out both will be happy to see me.

no problem Gb, real life comes first. we can probably work around your characters. if you have anyone you'd trust to take over your characters temporarily and get them out of the action you can arrange that, otherwise the GMs can take care of that.

Honestly, both Rudder and Snapper I'd be okay with letting most people take care of for that time if they ask, just worry with how long I expect to be gone they might get attached. Cyber, Lego and Leaf know elements of the plot I was planning in the PMD rp, so they probably be the ones I'd trust most with Scallop and Atum most. Anyway, if you want to take care of them for a bit, just ask. if no one does, just let me know how them suddenly disappearing in the rp will be explained

jury selection is tomorrow, an if i get picked i'm pretty sure it's going to throw my routine off even more than the stress of knowing it's coming already has...

not exactly an ideal place for someone who hates having to interact with strangers face to face, hates crowded places, and gets agitated if stuck idle fore more than five minutes at a time.

so, yeah, if i spend a large chunk of june avoiding the RPs or being more hostile than usual, that's probably why.

Seems like it's going to get pretty empty in here for a while. I'm going to India in a little under a week to attend a wedding. I'll be there for two weeks. I don't know how good my internet is going to be there, or how often I'll be able to write, but if I am able to write I might have to dedicate most of my writing time to BoH. My other characters might slow down.

Welcome to Cenozoic Bay
Halfway between Midway Atoll and Adok Alaska are Cenozoic Bay. A small Volcanic Archipelago, the Isles are unclaimed and were never touched by humans until the 1970s when small military action took place between the USSR and USA on the Isles soil. The Isles at the time were only called Borba, a Russian word for fighting, as a shorthand for the conflict in the area. The Islands were purchased in 1980 by a private research company, just two years after military action on the island ceased. Over the last three decades the island has changed hands, at least officially, between 5 different shell companies.

40°41'15.0"N 177°09'09.7"W
First considered to be a possibility for weapons research, the original company that owned the island was Biogen, which 'sold' the island to their subsidiary Germtec in 84. By 87, it passed back up the chain to another subsidiary, Genlabs, which was more favored at the time. In 95 the island changed hands again, now supposedly a simple remote research facility but mostly known as a place not covered by government laws concerning research, to a company known as Homosearch which had bilaterally merged with the company. Finally, in the year Y2K the island was sold to a supposedly new company that was formed mostly out of researchers that had once worked on the island, from several of the supposedly separate former companies. This company was known as Lazarus Applied Genetics Research, or LazSearch.

Lazarus Estate Group
Two years ago, the Lazarus Estate Group got ahold of the Islands and officially renamed them to the Lazarus Islands. Cenozoic Bay is the main entrance of the islands, located on the south of the islands. The corresponding neighborhood/resort is situated between three rivers within the nicest part of the bay. The Lazarus islands include several other settlements, those on the mainland easily accessible by monorail and those on the other islands accessible by boat. The Isles are considered perfect for their current mission statement due to their varied environments, going from desert areas to tropical arias, from mountains to tundra, all in one small archipelago.

The Mission
The intention of Lazarus Applied Genetics Research quickly becomes obvious once one arrives, it is to revive the dead. The Isles are a testing ground for Lazsearch's proprietary technology, partially aided by CRISPR technology, which is used to re-build DNA using intentional mutation, genetic regression, and active samples of the least degraded possibility. While it is impossible to find fully preserved proteins from anywhere beyond a Million years, their proprietary software uses the data from small fragments, structural analysis of any remains, and living descendants dna to create the revived creature.
